Hatem Ben Arfa (still a free agent)

L’Equipe: Hatem Ben Arfa has returned to his native Paris where he is working with a fitness coach and searching for a new club #nufc

Pardew said he was overweight and not fit. People said it was bullshit.

What do said people have to say now?

It was bullshit.

There won't be "working with a fitness coach" if he just left and was looking for a new club.  The fact that's stated says it all. "Ben Arfa has left Hull and is back in France looking for new club" = player with fitness.

A footballer to carry on training while without a club goes without saying.  To make a point of saying "WITH A FITNESS COACH" make it pretty clear  :idiot2:

"A move back to Newcastle had been mooted but as reported this week in the Chronicle there is thought to be no chance of a comeback on Tyneside, despite a clause in his contract.

Instead it is likely to be a case of pastures new for the fallen French international who has struggled for fitness and form with Hull."

Huh.

Oh wait, it's Lee Ryder so that can be disregarded too, right?  No one say a bad word about my Hatem <3

Lee Ryder can't be questioned? :spit:

Mate, I genuinely question his mental health pretty much every time I read one of his 'articles'

Nice reply to my argument.

Since when have I defended Pardew? This is about Ben Arfa. Good try at a deflection though.

No offense mate, but you do come across as a bit of a prat with the whole HBA thing. You're quite happy to not only lap up what Lee Ryder says, but look for implication in what he says? Lee Ryder?...really? Lee Ryder?

Pardew's a born liar, he shunned him because he didn't like him and he wasn't his type of player, same with MYM, Marveaux, Mascherano, Tevez, etc.

You have an avatar with Pardew as Pinocchio and you're saying he was telling the truth and can be trusted.  Stop being a moron.

Yeah, he can press enter as often as he likes but there's nothing between those lines

Physical fitness doesn't seem to be the main issue behind the fall-outs at NUFC and Hull. It's his attitude. He needs a psychiatrist more than a fitness coach.

Quick, where's Stifler?

You don't know that like, you simply don't, and you shouldn't really comment on people's mental health willy nilly.

The initial quote wasnt from Lee Ryder, it's everywhere, plus they're quoting from L'Equipe in the first place.

"L’Equipe report that Ben Arfa is in his native France working on his fitness". Shields Gazette.

But never mind, it's saying negative things about the beloved Ben Arfa. No way is he overweight or unfit, nor has he ever been.  It's all Pardew, not like there are fitness coaches, dietitians and other professionals are the club who indicated that he wasnt fit enough to the standard required/the rest of the squad.

OF COURSE HE'S WORKING ON HIS FITNESS. OTHERWISE HE *WILL* BECOME UNFIT

Exactly. I just said my piece on that. It goes without saying that he's working on it.

They've made a point of saying it.  You don't see that with other players who have left a club. "x is now a free agent and back in his homeland looking for a new club", not "x is now a free agent and back in his homeland looking for a new club while working with a fitness coach"

That's nonsense though, you're just wanting more room to manoeuvre on a player that you seem to have it in for. His attitude is obviously bad, that's not really up for debate anymore, the point being that he wasn't unfit at all at the start of the season, anyone that watched him playing for the U21s at the start of the season would tell you that he was in good shape, anyone that watched him burst past 3 Liverpool players a few weeks ago would tell you that too.

The overriding point is that, bad attitude or not, his talent and quality on the pitch is better than pretty much every other player that we have out there, never mind Yoan fucking Gouffran. So I dunno what point you're really trying to make beyond making insinuations about flat out lies or suggesting that we're better off playing inferior players because they tow the line with our absolute lying cunt of a manager?

The fitness thing simply clouds the real issue which is that he appears to have made himself persona non grata at yet another club.  This time after only a few months.  Something's not right with him, that much is becoming clear.

That's not to say Pardew handled him well, he didn't, but there must be something more than just Pardew in this that's making him continually fall out with managers and have to move clubs.

Aye, because that lie has perpetuated to the point that you're using at as a stick to beat him with, because Pardew said it.
