Dave Posted November 22, 2014 Share Posted November 22, 2014 Arsenal have been the same for years now; flat track bullies that are easily good enough to deal with most of the dross in the league but in the bigger games when the chips are down they just can't keep their nerve. Arsenal need quality not quantity in midfield. Based on last season they didn't, Ramsey was as good as anything as the box to box midfielder in Europe last season and obviously Ozil. Wenger obviously thought it would be a good idea to put Ozil on the wing and put Wilshere with Ramsey who just limits his space and gets in the way. It's easy to say they needed Fabregas because of his quality and what he's doing but where would he play and would Wenger use him properly? I'm going to say no to both based on this season's evidence. Arsenal got what they needed in terms of attacking talent this summer, it was up to the manager to use them correctly and he's failed.
