The College Dropout
Taibi was infamous. GK is sewn up. Poom is scratching obscurity tbh. Clocked lots of appearances no?
joeyt
I used to enjoy John Paintsil's one man lap of honour every time Fulham won a game EDIT: just realised we're only onto CBs
Robbo
Lamine Diatta edit: Didn't read the rules
TaylorJ_01
Frank Sinclair - scorer of about 1000 own goals True, but otherwise he played loads and was quite successful no?
TaylorJ_01
Poll up, vote now. Obscurity as well as violent tendencies, comedy, physical appearence and mental instability should all be considered.
Guest TruToon94
Forget about Mart Poom. Remember him being surprisingly decent on Fifa 2001!
ads
Sorry for the Taibi nomination. Clearly didn't read the OP...

ads
I had to vote for Calum Davenport, I think there's something hauntingly beautiful about a footballer who gets stabbed in his legs at his Mam's house.
TaylorJ_01
Absolutely, it's the story that charmed a generation.
TaylorJ_01
It's quite close at the moment so a few more votes'd be good. Then we'll move onto full-backs.
ads
Based on Bergsson, Davenport and Wallwork, I think this concept could catch on for further threads. Stabbing XI anyone?

Might struggle for a full team. Maybe just a "violently assaulted" 11?
Incognito
Based on Bergsson, Davenport and Wallwork, I think this concept could catch on for further threads. Stabbing XI anyone? Graeme Le Saux.
HawK
Peggy Arphexad, most players are measured on goals per game, or goals conceded per game. But no-one comes close to Arphexad's honors per game. 6 major honours including the UEFA cup in only 39 appearances in his entire career shows that this player must be one of the most successful footballers of all time, in terms of games played. It works out that after every 6 or 7 games played, he ended up receiving a medal of some sort!

If you only count his Chelsea career, owld man Hilário runs him close. 20 games = UEFA Champions League: 2011–12 UEFA Europa League: 2012–13 Premier League: 2009–10 FA Cup: 2006–07, 2008–09, 2009–10, 2011–12 Football League Cup: 2006–07 FA Community Shield: 2009; Runner-up 2010
Jack Flash
Based on Bergsson, Davenport and Wallwork, I think this concept could catch on for further threads. Stabbing XI anyone? Trevor Morley. Could include Ian Bishop if we get desperate.
