The fact that 1200 workers have died in Qatar. Blood is all over FIFA's hands. Horrible, corrupt and needs to be dismantled. Blatter should get tried for f***ing manslaughter.

Link???

This in development of stadiums?

FIFA scandal stretches to Traffic, agency involved in Barça's Douglas signing

Brazilian agency Traffic, who were involved in Barcelona's signings of Henrique, Keirrison and Douglas, is under suspicion for bribing FIFA officials.

The multinational marketing company, which has subsidaries such as the football agency Traffic Sport International, has been caught up in the investiagtion which saw several FIFA officials arrested on Wednesday morning.

Traffic's owner and founder, Jose Hawilla, is one of the men who is suggested to have paid the FIFA officials in order to win contracts.

The Brazilian subsidary of traffic is an old acquaintace of FA Barcelona, with several players, including Douglas last summer, being signed through them. However, the signings have always been linked with poor performances.

According to sources close to the investigation, Hawilla is accused of paying officials in order to gain sponsorship deals and the television rights to various tournaments in the CONCACAF region.

It's been known we have some pretty rotten business partners in Brazil, the company we subcontracted the Brazilian branch of the Barça school is apparently involved in the investigation too.

The biggest problem with FIFA isn't just having a number of corrupt assholes running it, but how easy it is to be corrupt in the system. There needs to be a huge overhaul in how its run, especially the voting process. It's far to easy to buy votes from poorer, developing countries who have just as much say as Germany or Spain. In an ideal scenario Sepp is taken out and the whole ExCo is purged and the next two World Cups are voted on again, but that still leaves a lot of federation leaders who will take money for votes. I wouldn't expect new leaders to be any less corrupt, so hopefully this brings a huge change in the way FIFA is run, otherwise we're still fucked.

Not a bad thing. Our FA is corrupt to the bone.

Still hoping Villar gets arrested and sent to Gitmo.
