I don't disagree with your main point, but on the 'shots per game' callout for Cisse, you have to remember that Cisse only played around 45 minutes for a lot of the games last season, in an atrocious midfield, under John Carver's atrocious system and as a lone - completely isolated - striker. Don't think you can blame him too much for that. Cisse's conversion rate was fantastic, I'd rather see efficiency in finishing than taking shots for the sake of it and giving away possession.

Don't disagree at all, was just saying that we don't create nowhere near enough and Cisse is apart of that as is every other striker we play tbh. It's not gonna change with better players behind them either like some seem to think it will. As of right now none of them have been good in helping facilitate chances for themselves.

Hopefully Mitrovic is, but that's a case of wait and see tbh.

We can do better than Cisse. He has a dodgy first touch and that leads to him missing good scoring opportunities, which for a specialist finisher is a bit of a problem.

I also suspect he's not the most popular figure in the dressing room.

Peter Sutcliffe had a more subtle first touch.

He has to be he worst player in the squad.

Cisse still buries them like Sutcliffe though

And you'd have to be the worst poster on here to come out with shite like that

Luckily I've got eyes and don't have to rely on someone else talking s*** behind his team mates back.

out of 10 how would you rate his link up play and first touch?

His link up play seemed pretty good when he did a brilliant lofted through ball to Obertan in the lead up to the second goal

That lofted ball from Cisse was awesome! I actually thought it was Sissoko not Cisse!

Hang on, I thought it was Sissoko too and I've never doubted it until now. WTF is going on?

Edit: According the Guardian, it was definitely Cisse.

The second half had barely begun before Cissé’s chip picked out Gabriel Obertan, who accelerated down the right before providing the onrushing Wijnaldum with an excellent looping cross.

Hold on, going off this image leading up to the goal out of the other thread, that is definitely Sissoko on the ball and Cisse running in the centre

Fairly sure that's actually Wijnaldum who's been circled. Sissoko's the one furthest forward in the green boots.

Nah, it's Mbemba in the circle. Haidara in the green boots,
