Jonjo Shelvey (now playing for Burnley)

Shelvey's Hollywood balls are amazing when they come off but no one in the league surrenders possession as much as he does. He has an amazing technical ability but his decision making is often woeful.

Be amazed if this is even remotely true.

I think he could be finished as a first team starter for us, he's not mobile enough and doesn't cover enough ground to be effective anymore

We look and always looked a better team without him in the team.

bruce should have known this, arguably p*ssed the first two games away with him forcing shelvey into the team

probably got told to play him because hes the highest earner

He's good if we tailor our entire system towards him, but he's not good enough to warrant that. The last few months of our first seasons back up were probably his best. His long passing ability matched with Gayle's movement really helped us bring Ayoze and the fullbacks into play.

i don't think there's a coach around who could make that work tbh, you'd need crazy amounts of pace and quality around him for it to amount to anything

that loon was in the almiron thread saying he's a luxury we can't afford, basically defines shelvey

Second half of the first season back he was good alongside Diame. We don’t need him.
