The Madrid bench and Zidane's use of it has been very good. While I think his football is often dour - Zidane seems to be under-rated. His substitutions nearly always work, the teams concentration is always good, they're solid, motivated. He's no tactical purist, he's pragmatic and the hipsters hate it. If I was going for a direct comparison I would look up the QF goals Ronny has scored at that stage in that time period - I reckon it would be close to 10.
