I’ve sat and watch them both for years, year in year out and never have I thought Bruno Fernandes was as good as prime KDB as a footballer. Never. It doesn’t pass the eye test Fernandes might have better stats than Eden Hazard, Hazard was a better player and it’s not close. Haaland can score 50 goals, he’s not as good as Cristiano. I've also had the pleasure of watching De Bruyne in the flesh on multiple occasions. Nobody is arguing Fernandes is better than De Bruyne, but De Bruyne is a phenomenal footballer who's one of the best midfielders we've ever seen in England. Talking about ability as a player - I find goals and assists 2dimensional. G/A we can act like Fernandes is on the same level as a KDB or Hazard. But ability? It’s not close. Prime Wilson was a bagsman, never near Isak’s ability. Fernandes at his best was inevitable. He’ll do something that counts.
