But that will only get you so far, and we need to be ruthless when it comes to only putting players on the pitch when they are performing, not on the back of their reputations. We have come sk far in such a short spell of time albeit in an unusual fashion by finishing higher then lower again. Presently we're higher than we finished last season. Id say the performances we have seen for quite some time now is not ahead (far from it) of where we should be, even if the results are good enough. None of the performances have been good to date this season though for a whole host of reasons, it seems. Individual mistakes, wrong formation (1st half today), players being touted about pre season. Expand I agree tbh - it is why I’m of the belief that Howe deserves plenty of time and it is very much early days this season. If we’re playing like this for the next four months then the writing might be on the wall - but there’s a lot of football between now and then.
