ponsaelius Posted Saturday at 19:30 Share Posted Saturday at 19:30 Unfortunately I think we are going to be without him for the rest of the season more or less. It's the one thing that worries me about where we finish - I'd have been confident if Eddie was in the dugout.

M1tche Posted Saturday at 19:35 Share Posted Saturday at 19:35 After today, I'll be shocked if he's not back at the club by Ipswich, he may not be on the touchline, but he'll want to be much closer things.

Things are done quite differently in the UK than I am used to. In the US, and I am not claiming this is better because it isn't, there is ZERO chance unless you are rich and want to pay for it yourself, that you'd be allowed this long a stay unless it was dangerous for you to be discharged. Does the NHS allow extended stays in the hospital just to help speed things along?

You recover best at home. If they want you to stay in hospital you are sick to the point the Doctors feel the need to monitor you and/or you require ongoing care

I’m not sure it would’ve made any difference today - we’ve seen a fair few games like today’s, with leggy performances and substitutes made reactively (and late)
El Prontonise Posted Saturday at 19:53 Share Posted Saturday at 19:53 We should only be seeing Howe in last 1-2 games maximum if he's still in hospital.

Does the NHS allow extended stays in the hospital just to help speed things along? If it’s NHS they “usually” want a bed freed up asap. He may be under the clubs private umbrella and that would cover the best treatment and recovery possible. Not sure which route he’s going down. Either way just hope he’s on the mend. Ben Posted Saturday at 19:57 Share Posted Saturday at 19:57 Today's defeat will mean he'll definitely push himself to be back for Ipswich, the players will react nee bother
Likelylad Posted Saturday at 19:58 Share Posted Saturday at 19:58 The lack of any positive updates definitely makes me think he’s not back anytime soon and I genuinely think it could be costly as it would be to any other top side.

I see, that makes sense. I kind of figured the NHS would want you out of there ASAP, they sure do here. I wholeheartedly agree on the last bit. Broadsword Posted Saturday at 20:55 Share Posted Saturday at 20:55 (edited) Most are underestimating how bad you are with this, he won't be right again for 4 to 6 weeks. He really shoudln't be anywhere near the club for another 3 weeks. He just needs to take care of himself and not push himself no matter what. TheBrownBottle Posted Saturday at 21:31 Share Posted Saturday at 21:31 I’d rather lose every game for the rest of the season than see the bloke do something potentially dangerous. He’ll be back when he’s back
Pata Posted Saturday at 21:35 Share Posted Saturday at 21:35 Can we live with the risk that he might catch this during next season too?
