None I believe. Look... Im not excusing this shite away form but to say things are the same as under Bruce is far fetched. Back then he would change nothing when we went down. All we had was a faint hope that Maximin, WIlson or perhaps Almiron could carve out something out of thin air to get a result... usually a draw.

I'm saying the away performances are. And they are. We don't look like scoring, can't keep clean sheets, and our general play lacks any sort of intensity and is pedestrian. The away performances are very much akin to what we watched under Bruce.

I never ever saw a Steve Bruce team play a team off the park away from home. Certainly not Man Utd anyway.

Played them off the park yet their keeper hasn't made a proper save, so what's the point in that??

Here's some facts for you.

6 points gained from our 9 away games.

Failed to score in over half of them.

Still haven't even gone to any of last seasons top 4 yet!

That's Steve Bruce levels right there.

Sad and predictable responses in here.

Dominated every aspect of the game but couldn't score.  Couldn't find any space against their back 6. Poor subs, someone should have taken their chances for us tonight.

They let us dominate because they know that we lack creativity and efficiency. We also don't even pass the ball around well, and often just end up losing it.

Yes disappointing but to compare Steve Bruce with Eddie Howe is the most ridiculous thing that I've read on here.

Ffs man I'm not comparing them as managers (or men) at all [emoji38]

I'm saying our away performances this season are reminiscent of the Steve Bruce era. Which they are.

No they're not. Ridiculous statement.

We haven't gotten smashed like we occasionally did back then, but we literally have less points per game away from home this season than both full seasons with Bruce.

Why even mention Steve Bruce at all?

I mentioned him because that's what our away performances this season (Everton apart) have reminded me of. Can't keep hold of the ball, pretty much a guaranteed loss once we go behind, no cohesive game plan, can't keep clean sheets.

Aye there's definitely a resemblance there.

What about the midfield? That's where the games are won and lost.

What about missing the target from 10 yards in the last two games, placing countless balls into the keepers hands and cutting inside and running into congested dead ends.

Sure, our midfield hasn't been as effective as of late, but one common theme throughout the whole season has been that when our wingers perform we win. We aren't winning enough because our attacking outlets, I.e. our wingers aren't performing well enough.

Our attacking play was enhanced by our our full backs when they returned. Tino is now out and Miley has been a somewhat decent replacement there to make up numbers as an additional midfielder in a similar vein to Hall (who was our MotM today). But all of our wingers have been underperforming this season - and I say that as someone who heavily supports Murphy.

No team would want us to dominate the ball like that and put cross after cross into the box constantly for the entire match - considering the physical size of our team.

We were just total crap in the final third today.

Best manager for the job.

Someone that can provenly elevate a team beyond their means into Champions League places, cup finals and cup wins. That's all we've got and all were allowed to have.

All anybody else could do is hope to achieve the same so why bother with the upheaval.

Only 3 teams in the league has underperformed their xG more than us this season. It's a theme at this point. It was pretty obvious that they chose to sit deep. I don't blame them, most of their attacking threats were out with injury or had gone to AFCON.

I agree with everything you've said but the whole team is off it if we're honest.
