It's usually the opposite.  He gets slammed for the one or two that hasn't worked.

But no credit for the ones that do.

Not to mention that Wissa was proven goal scorer. And we tried to sign everyone else available before Woltemade.

Our transfer record under Eddie has been exceptional by and large. I'm happy to give Eddie credit for all the good ones and the criticism for the shit ones as well. But unlike others, I don't think the summer signings are the biggest cause of our regression. I also don't think losing Isak late in the window is responsible for our horrendous defensive record, the fact we can't hold onto the ball, the fact our in-game changes are totally ineffective and the fact that we only have one plan (that no longer works).
Eddie takes all the credit for what he has achieved to-date and all the criticism for the dogshit being served up at the moment.

Seems a bit specific. You think he'll definitely never manage one of Man City, Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea, Man United, Spurs?

Spurs maybe. Can't see him managing any of the others.

Probably not, if any, in recent times. But arguably the greatest manager of all time turned round a sinking ship at Man United.

Pinning my hopes on him being Fergie doesn’t seem realistic.

To be honest I’ve convinced myself he should stay.

You said your money would be on him being Liverpool manager. I think that opinion is beyond daft. They can pretty much have their pick of managers, they aren't going for Eddie Howe man [emoji38]

Your post was ridiculous.

I think he does get a better job after us.  Proven, hardworking, intelligent, trophy winning manager, with no compensation to pay.  Track record of improving players.

Would sound attractive to most decision makers.  I'm not surprised it doesn't to you considering your last post.

I think you're wrong. None of the so called big 6 (other than Spurs who aren't really big 6 at all) will go for him. Time will tell who is right, but I think I will be on this one.

You clearly like Eddie Howe more than Newcastle United going by your posts on this subject which I find pretty weird tbh.

So there is a doubt that Liverpool might keep this amazing manager ? Odd.

No I'm just pointing out that he won a trophy when someone said they would go for a proven trophy winning manager like Howe. Liverpool will go for Alonso surely.

What about Man Utd ?

Don't think it's out of the question that clubs that hired the likes of Slot, Arteta, Amorim, Ten Hag, and fucking Graham Potter and Liam Rosenior  might consider going for a manager who's overachieved at the top end of the Premier League for 3 of the last 4 seasons like. It's nowhere near as mad as you seem to think it is.

When you look at some of the appointments "the big six" has made of late, Howe has far more pedigree.

Even if you accept Liverpool is a stretch (personally I don't think it is), Man United, Chelsea and Spurs would likely all be interested.

No one prefers his style of football.

He's constantly whinging about scheduling, a lack of squad depth and teams doing low-block defenses.

Liverpool fans think he's a fraud.  And if you think Howes signings haven't worked look at how he's done with Wirtz, Kirkez, Frimong and Isak.

Signed all of them yet 28 points off the top despite winning the league last year.

He will be sacked soon enough.

Of course they don't prefer his style of football. They were never going to - Klopp's Liverpool side were exceptional. Plus, they have one of the most exciting young managers in world football waiting in the wings. Showing a bit of ruthlessness and ambition to keep moving forward.

Time will tell. I don't think any of them will go for him. His insistence on signing athletes ahead of techincal footballers will stop him getting a top job in my opinion.

If Newcastle were performing at the level we should be I wouldn’t say those clubs are particularly a step up or the elite of the elite

Would Howe work for one of the big six under the conditions the would expect? For example the Chelsea job. Not so sure myself.

There's no way he'd work for a club that insists on buying his players for him, and nor should he. There's a reason they went for someone like Rosenior - no decent manager would work under the conditions they impose.

England is far more likely for Howe and I'd imagine he'd be the one to break the curse.

See NUFC 2025 and the plethora of English players we've had and improved and got a tune out of. Don't have players fucking off for a more fanciable country either.

That wasn't the point being made.  In terms of stature and resources at their disposal though, it'd be a big step up.

If they flop in the World Cup I can see the FA going in for him. Was surprised they didn't show more interest when Tuchel got the job.

No, I want Newcastle to be successful and the way I see that happening, sooner rather than later, is with Howe.

He's already been successful here,  so I'm surprised there isn't more support around here for him.  People either have short memories or have taken what he has done for granted.

We won't be going nowhere fast with a de Zerbi, Southgate, coming through the door.  Would set us back literally years.

Just like Spurs and Poch.

Just can't see it, not at this point in his career anyway. One of his biggest complaints this season has been the lack of time on the training ground. He wouldn't get that at England.

He doesn't like Howe.  Therefore no one else out there, who knows football, must like Howe.
