I'd imagine yesterdays result could add a couple of thousand regardless of whether the cup was there, due to the feel good factor and people wanting to be in SJP, but it would cool if the trophy was on show.

Regarding the match, it's obviously still a big local derby, the first home league meeting with them possibly ever? and likewise, the first time to finish above them probably ever as well, but just from a match POV it is a bit of a shame that it is basically now a mid table match. Obviously the league was extremely tight and it was still relative early days, but back in mid January with Sunderland 3 points off top and us 2 points further back, but with a game in hand (presumably to lowly Blackburn), it looked like one, or both, could have been in genuine promotion contention, but both have stuttered since then, especially Sunderland who lost to lowly Portsmouth yesterday, and London and Birmingham seem to have pulled away a but.

In terms of adding numbers though, the cup final result was probably more important than both sides winning their respective matches yesterday rather than losing.

Club have announced over 26000 tickets sold for the derby on Sunday, which will be a league record. Hopefully a few thousand more are sold and the club beats its own record.

And just like that.IMG_0554.thumb.jpeg.307003416885ad1b161b48caadbdab6f.jpeg

Club have also just announced that the Carabao Cup will be shown at the game on Sunday. Lifted by Bob Moncur and Darren Eales, I guess everybody else will either be in Dubai or on international duty.

That should sell some tickets.

Just reading the the fume on the chronicle site about the cup being at the women's game. Can't understand it. Just let as many people as possible  enjoy it, whether it's Sunday or March 29th or whenever. If it helps boost the crowd then so what?  The success of the club has earned the right to cash in however it can, be it extra on Sundays gate or selling "winners" merch at the club shop. It's merely another chance to see it.

Anyone too impatient to wait until the 29th can just go to the game anyway. It's only £8 and £1 goes to the Foundation. If women's football offends these people so much they can just stay until the trophy comes out then f**k off home 👍🏻

You'll get the same people moaning that there are too many at the parade/celebration, when thousands who might have otherwise waited until the 29th might not bother because they've seen the cup this Sunday. In turn that will potentially reduce the crowd by thousands on the 29th.

I mean, it'll just be the trophy at the lasses game.

Surely these people are attending the parade to enjoy it with the cup winning team, not just to gape at a trophy [emoji38]

Some people are odd.
