Realistic Transfer Targets (2025/26)

Summer wish list if we get Champions League football

Marc Guehi - £50 mil take it or leave it. Hopefully a demoralizing cup final defeat makes him see the light.

Bryan Mbuemo - £60 mil - RW

Patrick Schick - £10-20 million - Sell Wilson, upgraded backup striker

Kyle Walker Peters - £7 million - RB backup, Sell Trippier

Jobe Bellingham - £20 mil - midfield cover, sell Longstaff.

:D  Terrible attempt at a wind up.

Couldn't think of another 8 that was young and would be satisfied with playing on the bench. Dortmund are interested, mind.

You'd need more sales for that kind of budget

He's free in the summer. I would absolutely get him in, no brainer seeing as he can cover boths sides and has a good amount of experience in Premier League.

Schick is a decent shout but I get the feeling he'd cost more than £20M given the season he's having and I think there's better options around who are younger. Wouldn't be disappointed at all to see him here though.

Don't want anything to do with Jobe, let him go to Spurs and struggle to adapt to the Premier League there, he's some way off being ready for it.

Have we been linked to Weston McKennie? Ticks a lot of boxes; decent age, versatile, experienced at a high level, entering last year of his contract.

If Juve miss out on the Champions League, could they be tempted to cash in? Would he back himself to challenge our current 3?

Is Mateus Fernandes good enough to contribute now?

Or would it be similar to Miley / our current CM depth where we don't really trust the bench / drop off is significant

He'd be a deputy Joelinton imo where Miley is more of a deputy Bruno. Shame he is right footed though. Although he's probably spent the whole season defending and that's hiding some of his more progressive talents.

Another one worth looking at it Fatawu at Leicester. He got injured early in the season but I thought he looked good in the games he played. Another LW though 😂 He carries the ball well. Decent crosser.

Think Felix Nmecha would be a very good fit. Good combination of physicality and technical ability.
If Dortmund fail to get CL they could end up losing a few players.

We were linked with him before he joined Dortmund. Now if you think Guehi is a controversial God-botherer...[emoji38]

If the Dortmund fanbase got past it I'm sure ours would.

They beat Leverkusen at the weekend to more or less guarantee CL.

Freiburg are in 4th and play Frankfurt at home. They're a point above Dortmund. Freiburg have 4 wins and a draw in their last 5 matches.

Dortmund to the CL is not a guarantee.

Apols - read an article that said they were a high probability but never actually looked at the table. Quirk means that those two playing each other means Dortmund need anything more than a one goal win to bag it.

Actually, my apologies to you! I didn't see Frankfurt were 3rd :cheesy:

That is going to be an interesting end to the season. If Dortmund win I think I'm right in thinking they need:

a) those 2 to draw

b) any Frankfurt win as Freiburg's GD is crap

c) a thumping Freiburg victory.

If Dortmund draw they need a Frankfurt win.

I respect Guehi far more than any of the players who just go along with whatever they're told, in case it lessens their next boot deal. When it comes down to it English players would play with a MacDonalds logo replacing the 3 Lions... 'as representatives of England, we know what the badge means to the fans, but we have to remember all the good MacDonalds does in not just our communities, but in developing nations and in supporting grassroots football. And big mac meals are what made me the footballer I am.'

Not that I like Guehi for anything over 30mil, 'best English defender at the Euro's.... Maguire was technically Englands best defender for ages, means nothing in Southgate football

Some good fun jeopardy early on with Freiburg up 1-0 and Dortmund only 1-0. But up against 10 men for most of the game meant they were always going to be able to bag 2 or 3 like us v Ipswich.

Shame as it makes Gittens more expensive.
