Can't secure a top 50k finish in December mind but you can throw it away doing too much!

Think those transfers could've waited IMO.

The year I finished 56k I was top 10k-20k for most of the season but did too much, went too early on risky transfers, tore up a winning team through confidence. The year I finished 7k, got a good base and slowly ticked on to the next good asset. Never trying to get ahead of the game too much. Common sense transfers every week.

Still tempted to sell Isak. The last 2 performances and the aggregate attack over the opening 13 games isn't good. It's now or I keep him for the foreseeable. The short-term fixtures are too good to sell after Liverpool - that's what killed me with DCL. Isak will definitely score eventually but the variance vs Jackson is high. Jackson will almost definitely justify his price tag. Isak could go either way.

Think I'm selling for a hit.

I'm 200k right now, and my defence was shocking this week so needed a defensive transfer, it was either Colwill in and roll the second free, or go big. Trent I want long term, and I like Eze's fixtures. I dont really feel I had anywhere to go regarding Mbeumo, it was Bowen, Mitoma or Eze.

I also felt my defence with Colwill wasnt great next week either and the injury to Fofana is a big one for Chelsea. Providing there are no injuries I can hold through to GW17 now.

DCL killed me, I put him in after Pedros injury and he still was outscored him in the time I held. I will never put him in again. Your comments in the transfer thread when we were linked to him make sense now, once you hold that man you lose respect for him, Everton and yourself.

Isak I think is a skip until we sort our attack out, Pedro and Cunha are just better picks and cheaper.

I sold DCL just before the good fixtures ended fully expecting him to finally get a return. He didn’t. Watching Everton & DCL was a nightmare.

He’s not played well for 4 years. He had a purple patch under one of the best managers of all time.  His mind body and spirit is broken.  There’s no circumstance where we should sign him.  Not for free. Not for anything. I never want to see him again.

Folks I can either do:
Mbeumo out for Saka. Start Isak.

- If he misses out I've got Dalot off the bench which is weak.

- we are a bad attack. But historically (as in last 2 seasons) a good attack.

- I don't trust our attack against Leicester or Ipswich who will sit back and defend.

- Losing Mbeumo ahead of a good fixture

+Great fixtures the next 4

+Isak fixtures pretty good well into Feb.

+ Gives me funds for any defender (likely TAA/VVD/Konate/Gomez) going forward.

+ Isak to play 70 minutes each game minimum if fit

+ Isak on penalties

+ no hit.

Can do Isak out for Jackson, Dibling out for Saka (-4).

+Gives me 8 strong attackers heading into the busy period

+ Chelsea a good attack

+ Good fixtures for a long time to come (March)

+ good minutes

- Benching nightmares

- Decent short-term fixtures.

- Jackson 1 yellow from a suspension

- coming in for a hit

- Not on penalties

- Can't afford premium Liverpool defender but could get any VVD partner

My mantra is choosing good players from good teams. I don't know if we are a good team. I've doubted them but Chelsea seem a good team. Jackson feels a safer bet for as long as I want him. Isak and us as a team could stink it out.

What do you think?

I just took a minus 4 to get rid of Isak for Jackson. This the yellow card thing is overblown cos at least you know when he'll get his christmas rest and change your team accordingly.

I'm also having my worst ever FPL season, so I'd stay away from my advice.

Isak’s going.

You can thank me for an Isak brace.  He’ll then rise in value ahead of 4 of the easiest fixtures a striker could have.

We’ve just been shit against poorer opposition. I think something is fundamentally wrong with us this season. Or at least I’m not convinced we’ve turned the corner

Aye, I think I agree. We'll score goals vs the shite teams but I'm not convinced it's loads and Jackson has such great fixtures past spurs that I'm happy to take the hit for future gains and the ability to start sorting out my defence next week.

Risking it by captaining Haaland at home to Forest

Never thought that would be a risky move

Depends where you are in your leagues - If you are way behind, Haaland is an awesome differential, if you are ahead then its a risky move.

Do I finally rid myself of this Haaland in my current Salah/Haaland set up? Jackson looks a great buy, but I already have Palmer...

Honestly a nice differential.

If you’ve had the stomach for him so long. Why not keep him? Decent captain option too.

I lost the stomach awhile ago.  But he will come back.  I’ll just need to see it first.

Haaland is fine for those who still have him, but I must say there are several expensive assets that most would want atm. Most likely you're going to have to give up 2 of them to get Haaland if you don't have him. Luckily there are some good value options aswell, mind. Probably wouldn't sell him myself if I still owned him.

Almost got the brace.

Jackson didn’t even get a minute.

See you boys next season.

(I’m still going hard).

Took him out for a hit, I'll enjoy a Pedro 2 pointer tomorrow!

ok, wasn't following this thread - just in FPL for the fixture for the weekly comp - but am strangely getting into it - thus am trying, after missing the first 4 weeks, to get off the bottom place in the league.

So after a lot of transfers, some good, some bad, have a half decent team and am now only 33 points off 179th place.

i think wissa in for cunha out - brentford at home, tight ground - even thought their against us - don't have Pope so not an issue.

Only other issue - is Sels or Pickford - it's the lesser of two evils - one against manure away - the other liverpool at home ? thoughts ?

Having my best season by a mile - currently around 3500th in the world.  It seems to just be a case of matching everyone else's team to keep my position now though, so not as much fun as risk taking with a few differentials.

Eze and Trent in paid off nicely.

That Isak > Jackson transfer is emblematic of my season. Usually in the NO top ten but can't get close this year. Not sure why, is it the transfers? I keep sticking and twisting at the wrong moments.

Should probs stop selecting "your" team by committee, "champ".

Wolves are horrible, I'm already not so happy with owning Cunha anymore.[emoji38] Will give him some more time, but I'm not expecting too much atm. I think many were late to the party with him, luckily I wasn't. Brilliant player, but Wolves doesn't look that great. This might be a bit reactionary from my part, though..

Sorry the Champ will continue to select by committee this season. It’s a game bud.

I will get back to being a patient manager though.  I’m ok with my attack for now - just the lack of depth.

Tempted to get TAA but that will take my entire budget. Only 1FT so maybe forced to roll the following week.

VVD gives me a little more budget but too close in price when TAA is a far superior asset imo.  But would allow me to pad the bench out a bit more.

Gomez was shit and got subbed.  So not confident between who starts out of him Quansah. I swear Quansah started the season ahead of Gomez and Konate??? So I think Slot rates him high.

Cunha has possibly the 3 easiest fixtures coming up though
