Thanks fellas. If I knew that I could reliably get 2 tickets I'm sure I can figure out the logistics and make a weekend out of it.

I got my wife a membership just so that I could try to win 2 tickets in the ballot.

So I guess I'm 0 for 17+ (including cup) this year

Getting a pair together is incredible difficult though, even if you get a decent queue position you’d have to be lucky to get that.

In the same row or same block is a bit easier, but I’ve not been able to get a pair many times.

If you’re travelling and have the money I would just recommend a third party reselling site. Awful but they always have tickets.

Ps will probs renew, regardless. It is a scam like 😂 but, at least, affords an opportunity for tickets. However rare.

On top of that she's recently suggested that if I can go in the Members sale, and get 2 tickets, she's more than happy to not sit with me.

Horrific patter 🙄

No, no and thrice no. Never feed the touting beast

Better to sit close but not side by side than give money to those despicable cunts

The membership is primarily a mechanic to enter the resale for me.

If I get access to a ballot it's a bonus.

I've often wondered about the yoot tickets too

TBH if I was desperate to get to a game and struggling to get sorted I'd just set up the £20 membership in one of my kids names, buy a yoot ticket but use it for myself

Unlikely that the turnstile checky will be arsed to pull the handbrake and there'll be load of adults sat with their kids in L7

Just don't turn up dressed like Jimmy Savile or the Child Catcher out of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and it'll be areet

If I'm going to spend the extra $ I'd rather go to a hospitality ticket. It's prob not even double the cheapest resale ticket, and should be a better experience.

Also, good to know about getting pairs, that makes it even more difficult to coordinate.

A friend was wondering if there might be a loophole where you enter the ballot as an adult + youth for an easy win, then return the youth ticket. Sceptical as feel like I'd have heard - but he reckons that's why there's all these 'returned' youth tickets.

Yeah, I'm 99% sure you can't buy just an adult ticket so it won't be that. Weirdly, in the "normal" resale phase you can't even buy a single youth ticket up there without an adult either, I tried to get my lad one in the L7 corner on Monday but it wouldn't let me unless I bought an adult with it, luckily a couple of refreshes and I got him one in the Gallowgate anyway.

But then those L7 tickets appear and it's all 14 - 17 only as single seats. They've tweaked that slightly too since the middle of last season, as I got to a few games up until the New Year where I'd be able to get 2 tickets together in L7, add them to my basket, then ring the box office to sell me them as an adult and child, but there never seems to be any pairs together now so I assume they release them in batches of singles rather than all at once.

Not sure that's possible either as you can't return ballot tickets, unless that's changed too 🤷🏻

And just go on their own? Might as well just go on the general sale, nearly always singles available everytime I’ve been on. More options where to sit too. Do find it weird there’s always stacks of single youth tickets available mind.
