Just for shits and giggles and to confuse and disarm the media it would be superb if the entire crowd on Monday spent 90 minutes pouring out love to him. Sing his name, show him how much he’s loved and appreciated, let him know how much he’s valued and wanted. That would pull the teeth of the media and remove another means of his agent controlling the narrative. Folk don’t have to be sincere when they do it but it would be a masterstroke of propaganda.

Why be quiet for weeks and then be a dick about it.

Surely he must have planned this statement a thousand times and yet this is the one he goes with!

In the words of Roy Keane..  he is a baby.

A big baby

baby.

Love the bit in Isak's statement where he says "the silence has allowed people to push their version of events"[emoji38]. Mate, the only people pushing their version of events is you, through your paid shills.

This is all absolutely crackers [emoji38]

The timeline seems to indicate a representative of Newcastle was in dialogue with Isak about a pay rise. Then Mitchell said "no", and Isak downed tools realising how few cards he held.

A proper mess. Can't sell him for undervalue though.

The cartel have created this market where a 28 year old Brentford striker is worth £60m to them. Even £130m is nowt these days.

I'd get him back to the table, mend fences and negotiate a non-wage-structure-shattering pay rise for this season linked to performance, with NDA clauses included. He wants money he feels (perhaps not unfairly given his talents and dialogue to date) he is due. More money will get him part way there and benefit the club this season if we can extract performances from him. Apologies from both sides might be required if he was misled by a club representative.

I'd just not sell him unless an utterly ludicrous offer came in. It is about the principle now and the precedent set for others at the club IMO. Isak has already repaid the £63m outlay. If he won't negotiate in good faith, the better option is make him see out his contract.

Then in the midddle out pops a smiling Yoane Wissa pulling up his jersey to reveal a t-shirt of Isak with a text saying. "OUR ALEX IS A FRIEND TO ALL SNAKES!"

I get the point but I don't agree with it tbh. As much as that might seems like taking the high road it's also cowardly, like we're trying to not hurt his feelings or something. We've done nothing but show him love and appreciation since he signed and he's thrown that all away.

Bu funnily enough I had a similar thought, but it was in regards to the reception he'd get if he ever played for us again. People would boo his name being read out or when he touched the ball of even if he actually scored I think. But what about just silence? No booing, no jeering, just silence when he's on the bal or scores or he gets subbed on.

We had better get our shit together over the next year to get a replacement in well in advance of any sale. Our transfer strategy is calamitous at best.

Overall yes, but the striker front is probably the one area you can't question our intent.

We were in for Delap, Pedro, Ekitike and Sesko early.  For all of them we weren't beaten on the fee at least.

For a variety of reasons they chose other teams - which with the exception of Sesko was probably the right footballing move.

If Emanuel Emegha has a blinder for Strasbourg this season, he'll go to Chelsea in 2026, meaning that we can try again for Delap, or try for the third time for Pedro lol.

Had a lapse of judgment and watched a video by Laurence McKenna, where he discusses the statement released by the club... don't watch, proper piss-boiler

Edit - and the comments, man. My hatred of fucking scousers grows by the day, I swear

Thauvin all over again.

How many times did he tell us to fuck off before finally caving.

Liverpool's next move will be interesting TBF. They still need a striker. If they buy one now, it reduces the chance that they'd be in for him next season.

They'll wait until after we play them, then go for Rodrygo and stuff. A winger. Ekitike plays up front.

They'll wait until next summer for Isak, I reckon. However the Isak only wants Liverpool will be tested with Barca, Bayern etc all looking for a top level striker also.

It's a world cup year, so I'm not sure Isak would want to spend the season not playing.

One would think but perhaps he doesn't give a shit about anything but himself.

You know why we have contracts, Alex? Because claims over promises and what was said and wasn't said isn't worth shit.

This seems unfair tbh. I'm sure many of us have been in positions where we've been the good soldier on the basis of reopening contract positions at a specified future point in time.

I know fans are tribal and will back club > player every time, but I wouldn't be surprised if the club had fucked him on pay.

That doesn't excuse his response at all but I doubt the club's hands are clean either.

he's not gonna sit out a whole season, if he does even Liverpool won't want him next summer. He's screwing up his career if he does that. If he's still here after the transfer window, he'll have to play and play well to get a big money move. If he doesn't, nobody will want him. He's got nothing left to play with. His agent's given him terrible advice.

He should've negotiated a new contract with Newcastle with a release clause, 130m. He could've moved next summer and still been loved and respected here. A much more experienced and switched on agent would have done that.

That's what's so crazy about all this. He's ruined his reputation here. We all knew he was gonna leave, and we were cool with it, but not like this.

He needs to apologise to us the fans and his team mates publicly before he plays for us again.

Which i think he will do if he is not sold, whilst signing a new contract.

I just watched a video on The Football Terrace (fairly big Youtube channel).  I already knew the cunt on there hates NUFC but I couldn't believe what I was listening to.

He was saying its disgusting the way Isak has been treated and toon fans are thick for believing the clubs lies.  Was going on about how he's been subject to all kinds of threats and even said he had to turn off comments on his statement because he was "PROBABLY" receiving racial abuse

Had to turn it off before I smashed my monitor screen in  [emoji38]
