SUPERTOON
Brilliant response from the club, only part I disagree with is that he will be welcomed back at any point. He’s absolutely finished here. Only reason I want him to play again is so I can hear the reaction to it.
Lush Vlad
I was in the ‘don’t release a statement’ camp. But I understand why they have done it if they feel ratboy and the scumbag Serb are lying. It only seems fair that we go on record. Especially as for the last month we’ve had the shills, the client journos, the vague statements about contracts, promises etc. All getting stuck into NUFC and trying to make his position so toxic. That we have to sell him. All we have had is Luke Edwards fighting our corner It’s worked in our favour keeping our counsel, mind. Seems like about 80% of the media or more are calling him out for his shitty behaviour and his plan has massively backfired. Now if we could just sign a striker so I don’t have to watch Gordon up top for the next however many weeks. That would be mint. KingArthur
I think statement was firstly well written and secondly important to make. That pretty much puts end to all bs about promises etc. But I agree with Simon Jordan, should have been done long ago.

David Edgar
Love that we have dropped a perfectly crafted statement that spells out precisely a fair and amicable position after Isak (the cunt) had earlier popped a clearly chatgpt created piece of propaganda. One statement has heart and meaning, the other is a cold self serving empty vacuum.

Nah, they've drafted it (bar a few tweaks depending on circumstances) and had it ready to go. Prior to this, it was a "proxy war" Romano/Ornstein claiming who said what. But neither Isak nor the club openly commented on their situation. Which is why Eddie kept it as vague as possible. "Don't trouble Trouble until Trouble troubles you". Isak blinked first in issuing, for the first time in this saga, his personal statement. That's when the response was triggered. The club was prepared for weeks already and that's why it came out almost immediately. It also immediately calmed the situation and communicated the club's stance, and firmly put Isak back in the box. It's a media and comms case study, this. Really fascinating. bobbydazzla
His agent / representatives are fucking shite at their jobs like. At every step they’ve taken the wrong turn If Isak was pushing for the nuclear option they should have reined him in as it was obvious the odds were stacked against it working If the Serb was pushing Isak for the nuclear option then he’s a fucking shite agent who’s now got a toxic client And if it was both of them, they’re a pair of daft cunts And their blatant utilisation of guerrilla tactics via Romano and the other Twatter whores has completely blown the lid off the scam. They’ll suck anyones dick for a price No wonder the Serb has hardly got any notable players on his books. He’s fucking shit Edited August 20, 2025 by bobbydazzla
gbandit
No one does soap opera better than the Toon. Isak’s ran out of cards, and the only ones he had were 2,7 off-suit. It’s rare to see someone fail this hard this publicly. Going to have to swallow his pride (which I don’t think he has the character for) and sort his head out. We still need 2 strikers so that we can bench him for as long as we want and bring him back in on our terms, not his

54
Quality statement that. Can't believe it's got to a situation where it's needed, but it's the perfect sentiment.

I don’t think he means that some of the players “support” what he’s doing. I think he means some of the players are more open than others to welcoming him back into the fold. The players are pissed at him, almost to a man (I can name 1 player if you’d like who isn’t, but I’d rather not stir shit…). But being pissed at him and wanting him gone comes in varying degrees… some of the lads I’m sure would welcome him back if he stopped acting the prick. Sibierski
The other thing I like about the statement, it subtly informs Isak he should be pissed off at his agent for not getting Liverpool to come back with an offer. If you are frustrated, take it out on your agent, not the club or the players/coach Can still be training, playing and forcing this all behind closed doors. Optimistic Nut
Seen a few videos on Twitter of late last season, him saying he's happy here, etc. Probably would have been a good time to have come out with "I'm committed to Newcastle this season and we'll see where things are", before Liverpool spunked almost £200m on 2 different forwards. He's had a mare.

I’d hope young footballers would come around to the fact that other young footballers sometimes make big mistakes. Of course would take time but I’d like to believe he could focus on his work and players will accept him back eventually.
