leffe186 Posted Saturday at 20:45 Share Posted Saturday at 20:45 I’d have to watch our last two games again to figure out the difference, but it’s weird how differently Villa play against us than they are playing here. It’s genuinely as if Emery is scared of us - he sets up so much more defensively every time. If he set up and had Villa playing like this against us I feel like they’d be much more successful. I actually advised people to bet against us beforehand. Listen to any Spurs podcast, we’d have been happy to give them a 3-0’and not play it.
Likelylad Posted Saturday at 20:48 Share Posted Saturday at 20:48 Honestly, I’m not that impressed with Liverpool. Like they’re a very decent side but nowhere near the peak City we’ve experienced over the last few years.

They’re better than this, but yeah, not like peak City

Astroblack Posted Saturday at 20:50 Share Posted Saturday at 20:50 (edited) Just knew that injury to Ramsey was coming. Similar feeling to when Willock plays. Edited Saturday at 20:51 by Astroblack

Injury-prone players notwithstanding, it does feel like an inevitable by-product of playing so many high-tempo games. The anomaly is how few injuries Arsenal got last year. Aye true but I’m certainly not fearing the game on the 4th even though they’re a bit of bogey team.

A bit? I can’t remember the last time we beat Liverpool in the league? Was it the game Enrique ended up in goal when we finished 5th?
Kid Icarus Posted Saturday at 20:59 Share Posted Saturday at 20:59 Those types of goals should have been being scored against Villa for ages like, can't believe they've only come unstuck recently.

I’ve not seen too much of Villa other than our games, and like I say Emery has been (I think overly) cautious against us. We got a lot of joy by winning possession in their half rather than cutting them open on the break like this. It feels like he’s let them be far more open tonight and it looks great when they are attacking but it leaves them so vulnerable on the break. If this is how they normally play then yeah, it’s more like Angeball tbh. Oof. Should have scored that.

They've never been you vs Chelsea with 9 men suicidal but you definitely both share the crazy high line that can be exploited.
KaKa Posted Saturday at 21:11 Share Posted Saturday at 21:11 What a spin move off Konsa to get free for the header ... but then he misses it. So similar to Nico Jackson. Both so dynamic and capable of getting into good positions, but prone to missing badly.
