Then press seems to be prepping for a Man U loss here, even their manager is talking about how the stadium will be full of fear every time we get the ball anywhere near their goal. Don't like this at all, feels like we are being set up for an upset of some sort despite their squad having cost far far more than ours.

The cost of the squad doesn't mean much does it.

Isnt Antony going to the most expensive player between both sides?

We're underdogs because we're shite at the minute and you're flying.

More redcafe gold, give them one thing, they’re funny fuckers :

I wouldn't mind switching Dalot and Antony around. It hardly matters. They're both terrible. It's like deciding whether to fill your car up with milk or jam. Either way you're fecked“

I don't blame everyone for assuming we are going to win, I just don't like it. Just because your managers have managed to get the worst out of every player doesn't mean they are actually shit. If you managed to make Antony look a worse player than Murphy that's on you.

Feels ripe for an "upset" this one, where brave Man U will bring down mighty Newcastle in full flight. I swear it feels like we are being set up.

The game I keep thinking back to is when they played Villa at Xmas a few years ago. Villa went in as favourites and were two up at half-time. Man Utd came back to win 3-2 and it was (what now counts for) a famous night for them.

Was I? I'm not sure I was. I hated how much we paid, and while I praised his energy and work rate, I noticed fairly quickly that he was proper shite.

He might do OK in a different country where the standard is much worse.

Think you said Antony and Sancho were the best 2 wide young prospects in the world or something like that.
I’d seen a lot of Sancho at Dortmund and had to agree, if he could carry that form over and grow a bit as a player, great playmaker from the wide positions. He was often helped by having Hakimi sprinting down the outside but still, he also looked good with Guerreiro doing anything but [emoji38].

Antony I’d only seen for Ajax in the CL games. Thought he looked very useful. Was hoping we’d sign him but when I saw what you payed, we could never have afforded it. You’re in a different league with the spending power.
Both players looked like they lost a lot belief which was a shame.

Understand you were pissed off at Sancho for some unprofessionalism iirc.

There's no way I said that about Antony, unless I was on the wind up. I knew fuck all about him really.

Sancho aye. Believed he was destined for greatness. Very wrong again.

Sancho fooled a lot of people. Don’t know if it’s his attitude or he’s just not quite good enough (or as good as he thought he was…).
I imagine the loan will become permanent so he won’t be your problem anymore.

The loan is an obligation. He's a Chelsea player. £25m in the summer.

am more hopeful about this fixture than usual but still very nervous

last season MU came into this in terrible form at the same time our form was picking up

Isak, Gordon, Joelinton etc wasted a load of chances, while Trippier and Dubravka gifted them 3 goals

and the ref/var denied us a stonewall peno

think Howe was genuinely angry with the players for throwing away those points and will be even more determined to avoid doing that again on Monday

just hope we turn up and don't get screwed by the refs

That the game we had Casemiro and Evans at centre back and McTominay playing up top? Sackable offence not winning that game like.

Speaking of sacking, how managers will you go through during Howe's tenure Froggy? 😄

Yea okay. your entire club is a sackable for lighting bank notes in flames every time you’ve stroked a check in the last 12 months. I’d take our post takeover years and ride as a NUFC fan over stumbling your way into 2 cup finals that 90% of your fanbase doesn’t even care about. When a win still = groan and when a goal still = meh.

My main concern for this fixture is I feel their fans will get behind an under strength team as opposed to one littered with players they’ve give up on. Could be enough to inspire them to a tight win.

If our midfield are on their game and don’t crumble I fancy us to just nick it due to their line up.

Two prime 11’s I’d still back them at home.
