[League Cup Final] Newcastle United Vs. Liverpool - 16/03/25 @ 16:30 (Live on ITV & Sky)

It really shouldn't be a meltdown[emoji38], it's pretty clear that if you opted into the cup scheme you will rightly get priority over people that didn't .

Aye, I think the cup scheme will account for the first 20-25k of the allocation.

It’s what they decide for the remaining bit that will be interesting/contested.

First priority, ST holders in the cup scheme who attended 3 or more cup games

Next, Mags + who attended 3 or more cup games.

Then an open sale at 10am Thursday for any left

That's it 🤣

I take that to mean that you won’t automatically get, and be charged for, a final ticket, in the way you did for previous (home) rounds.

Surely 95% of ST holders opted in to the cup scheme anyway?

Anecdotally, I know at least two that have not. Wouldn't be surprised if there's fewer people in it than most would realise.

I reckon going off the successful ballot numbers for previous rounds, it’s a fair bit less than that.

The only thing that annoys me is ST holders who didn’t go to cup games being ahead of members who did go. But that’s the nature of ST ownership I suppose. And the number will be small.

I also think ballot entry would be a better metric than attendance. Since attendance is partly down to luck.

And this is why I'm not even attempting to get a ticket. The whinging and arguing alone is a pain in the arse.

Good luck to those that go, cheer home the lads for me.

I think if you’re a ST holder not in the cup scheme the best you can hope for is being equal priority to members for the final. Would be surprised if they’re ahead.

It’s in the club’s interest to make signing up for cup schemes as attractive as possible going forward…

Ah fair enough, I seem to remember last time they were ahead. But may be letting my bitterness cloud my thinking

You may as well enter. There’ll be a tiny amount of tickets for non-ST underclass.

Oh ill be entering the ballot. [emoji38] Such is the hypocritical cunt I am.

But I'm not fussed and might not even go if I win. Last time I had a ticket and my son didn't and it was his birthday, so it was either both or none, thankfully I lucked out but the stress was insane.

I’ll buy your ticket if you win then. Deal

They were last time, but we didn’t have the membership scheme as is now.

Tbf, ticketing in general was a shambles coming out the Ashley era, and whilst it’s far from perfect now, they at least have some degree of process in place.

Those two finals were dreadful, we just didn’t turn up and it was so disheartening to watch. Even two years ago we showed more fight than those two finals.

We had two shit teams in 1998 and 1999 playing the league champions each time they too, mind.  Fuck me were we dreadful during that period :) - we were fantastically lucky not to go down in 97/98

Wonder what time details are released?

You'll be able to tell by the flash flood rivers of urine flowing down the streets of Tyneside as people piss their pants with either excitement / outrage
