Tbf, it might be that all his pens this season have been to the same side as Wednesday night, as I counted 4 of his first 5 to the keepers right. Although, he does the watch the keeper thing, so I actually think the side he goes is probably dependent on the keeper making a move.

Great mentality Yes, Barnes impressed me generally, but was very happy to see he wasn't starstruck and was giving Isak a dressing down for not passing earlier. But I wouldn’t hold this one against him. Really hard against takers like that when they watch the keeper. He did manage to save one from Toney who had a similar technique, mind. Had naff all to do until his brain dead moment. But I thought he was great after that. He was still really positive and aggressive off his line and on set pieces. Important stop late on and all. Even if it was a tame effort. It would have been easy to go the other way after his howler for the pen. He was saying once when he was on loan he made a clanger coming for a cross that led to a goal. York, maybe? Thought he’d get a bollocking. But the manager at the time just said ‘I want to see you keep doing that and you’ll be there for the next one’ or something like that. I’d still like to see him being so active off his line. But maybe not diving at the feet of strikers who are going away from goal
ponsaelius
He did save three against Palace in the shootout a couple of year ago - seems to be add odds with his general record otherwise.
