HMSIllustrious
Maybe, but the many other Bayern players don‘t get that kind of treatment.

He was "this" close to having two goals and an assist. He needs something to go his way to get him out of this funk. It's all the US announcers were talking about - his poor form at Newcastle. Chicken Dancer
Criminal we’ve even tried him centre mid, never mind persisted. Really talented player, it may never work over here but we should have died trying. Such a shame, personally be pretty gutted if we shift him in the summer. Summer under his belt (appreciate it’s the World Cup) and (hopefully) more technical players in to play with him.

Short of confidence for sure but can’t help but feel the season may have went a little differently if we’d changed system a tad and had Tonali + Joelinton behind him (as a 10). Certainly in some of the home games. I’ll never get over the start of the Everton (H) game - Joelinton wide left, him CM and Gordon up top. Just no need whatsoever. Yup, wasn‘t about Nick, the crowd in Stuttgart still loves him (his transfer fee changed the whole club for the better).
Yorkie
If playing him at CM has helped him improve his understanding of our patterns of play, and of the football itself in this league, he'll be much the better player for it. He barely looked on the same page as the rest of the team towards the latter end of his run at CF.
Whitley mag
The data backs it up we got more points with Wolt up front at home. Even when we had Isak up front we struggled to break the low block at home and everyone was saying we needed a different option at times. Funnily enough I think Woltemade as a 10 and Isak up front would have been a cracking combination. If we sell one of our few technical players this summer because the manager doesn’t know how to utilise him, I think it says everything and it’s not Nick who should be leaving. Nah… The data backs up we get very few points without Bruno playing. Which it has for four years. Seen that stat about Nick and Bruno’s absence completely ignored

League games at SJP this season Woltemade starting up front: 9 games - 20 points Anyone else up front: 7 games - 6 points
Infinitely Content
Still have no idea if he's a good striker of a ball much less a good finisher, still an enormous gamble to be hedging our bets on him as a striker imo. We do know he's not strong, not quick and not particularly tenacious though which is alarming. If we go into next season with him as the main man, I'd be feeling apprehensive. My feeling is that he's a Kai Havertz type without the aggression, and since we're not peak Liverpool under Klopp or peak Man City under Pep, we need a striker. Without Nick I almost never see us create anything through the middle. We can only resort to passing the ball to the wingers to hit an opportunistic cross into the box which is very predictable and ineffective. Sometimes it is sad that he is the only one on the pitch who really provided something through the middle and yet he is still being strongly criticized. And Murphy isn't in very good form this season (he was almost unstoppable last year which is hard to repeat), it makes things even worse, and I think this point is rarely being mentioned. I would definitely force him into the weight room - he can definitely bulk up and not lose speed.
