Sidg Posted yesterday at 13:00 Share Posted yesterday at 13:00 Andy Howe identifies players, Ross Wilson, that fucking MUG (until he buys a player I like) negotiates the deals. The problem is that the days of Liverpool using borderline secret underlying data to make an informed punt on Salah, and Brighton and Brentford using it to establish themselves, are over. Everybody knows now. Andy Howe is neither the problem nor the solution.

We qualified for the CL when 2 of them were having generational stinkers but as predicted they keep throwing money at it until it goes away. They also take our best players as and when they please foe fees which they decide not us. We are not a threat to them mate, we are a feeder club to them. Id also tend to agree that arguing over 5m is also a waste of time. Now don't get me wrong, I don't believe that means he comes here but I do think we have some lessons to takeaway. Well they certainly aren't going to take any chances, some of them lost out CL places to us in recent history. Why take chances, better just to buy up all the cars so you are the only ones in the race.

I disagree entirely. Selling Gordon early was widely praised. Now if its Tonali, and a midfielder, I actually agree but Tonali is a key player for us, Gordon was persona non grata. Wasting time is irrelevant. Its not like we wasted time and Liverpool swooped. We agreed everything, job was done. He decided to join them. This is what im saying, there arent lessons, there arent learnings, there's nothing we can do. BTW, I say this as the ultimate frustration. I dont see any scenarios where we sign the players we truly want because those players are joining other clubs. I also dont think its a conspiracy. I think its a consequence of PSR, which renders our ambition irrelevant.

Kanj Posted yesterday at 13:10 Share Posted yesterday at 13:10 If we had unfettered access to build our revenue streams like the cartel boys did prior to rules being put in place we’d have the squad to have won the league the season Liverpool did and done a domestic double. Isak Bruno Tonali etc were at peak powers we needed a few more of them and it would have been done.

I don't think view they view clubs outside of that class a threat. A temporary annoyance certainly, a threat absolutely not imo. The manner which we lost Isak kind displays that perfectly imo. STM Posted yesterday at 13:17 Share Posted yesterday at 13:17 If we had the keys to the kingdom (excuse the pun) we deliberately over spend. We go around europe throwing money at players and clubs, letting everyone know we are the real deal. Thats exactly what Chelsea and City did. Once you do that, you have a seat at the table. "Heritage" and "legacy" counts for jackshit. We know this because City and Chelsea have regularly taken players off Liverpool and Man United. Throwing money around doesnt guarantee success but it guarantees a look at the best players in the world. We are a eunuch, that previously had the biggest bollocks in the world but never got to use them. Ive no issue with Munoz choosing Liverpool, I probably would. I have no issue with Liverpool signing who they wish. I have an issue with our fans trying to find reasons for us losing out on players, that dont include the one true reason we all actually know is holding us back. Shays Given Tim Flowers Posted yesterday at 13:17 Share Posted yesterday at 13:17 We're a threat in so far as we can displace one of them from Champions League Qualification for a season. As to whether that changes the fundamental strategy of these clubs to a significant degree regards player recruitment, highly doubt it.

It wasn’t just an amicable bid, accepted, friendly hand shakes all round like a Kerkez etc. They systematically ground us down and demoralised us as a collective in the process, they knew exactly what they were doing.
