I hope so too. But the chances are slim. Nagelsmann obviously doesn't consider either of them part of the starting XI, let alone the first-choice substitutes.

Nobody I know in Germany does…he‘s haunted by his urge to prove that he‘s among the very best…but I highly doubt that he inspires anything in his players.

I‘m just waiting for Klopp to take over.

Nagelsmann might get praise from someone for playing Nmecha, but in reality he was going to play Pavlovic and Goretzka. The pressure from absolutely everywhere made him choose Nmecha. That’s positive that he did that, so there is slim hope that he will start with Undav as 9, Havertz as 10 and Musiala and Wirtz out wide. Everybody has screamed him for long time to do that so he doesn’t get credit for these.

 

Playing Kimmich at right back also is critized heavily in Germany. To make sure he plays there, Nagelsmann only chose 3 full backs - and both Raum and Brown are left-footed left backs. So that leaves only Kimmich there, nobody else
