I've gave 2 real live examples above.

Impressive, not sure if it would work in such a small confined space at the back of the East stand :dontknow:.

If the residents are up for it tho, id go with it.

Dunno, if we were to move up to Castle Leazes/Leazes Park I'd like the current SJP footprint to he a green space.

Definitely ? but presumably we would be using old one right up to new one being fully ready. Hence having two sitting side by side (in view of each other at least) for a while.

And if you remember back pre Ashley when their were tentative plans for a hotel and casino linked on to an extended Gallowgate, everyone said it was doable, that included engineers etc but cost prohibitive and we've had nearly 20yrs of progress since then.

I’m not saying it’s impossible, of course - but it would be a bastard to build (and might be impossible).  As Sima pointed out above, the Metro changing lines at SJP makes it even harder - the simplest solution would be to shut the station either temporarily or permanently while you either rebuild it or grout it.

Aye, turning up at Joker Park to get signatures was fucking beyond low. They used to get pelters when standing at greys monument.

If I recall correctly they even had the gall to object to the expansion of SJP due to increased traffic. They we’re basically NIMBYs with a few genuine tree huggers amongst them.

Dolly Potter and the Friends of Leazes Park.  Sounds like a shit JK Rowling knockoff.

They were 100% NIMBYs.  The type who write strongly worded letters to the Times about public lapses in moral rectitude.

"Nimbys" is a performative adjective predetermined to negate the subjects interests.

It's perfectly reasonable to wish to retain one's aspects. Wether its from new motorways, football grounds,, new builds, schools, halfway houses for nonces etc etc. Nee one wants to be fucked over, it's only human nature ?

it must only get significant footfall on a matchday

also and im very much generalising here that i would guess 70-80% fans get off the metro at haymarket or monument on match day for pints/grub etc and then walk to ground

Away fans generally off the train and walk from central so would it REALLY be a massive miss?
