Barcelona - The Bestest Academy of Football in the World?

Recommended Posts

Ajax academy is the best in the world

                                                Edwin van der Sar

Michael Reiziger             Danny Blind            Ronald Koeman                  Urby Emanuelson

(Johnny Heitinga)            (Cristian Chivu)      ( Frank de Boer)

(Hatem Trabelsi)              (Winston Bogarde)

(Nigel de Jong)

Clarence Seedorf              Wesley Sneijder                   Edgar Davids                  Steven Pienaar

(Ronald de Boer)              (Frank Rijkaard)                    ( Aron Winter)                ( Andy van der Meyde)

(Marc Overmars)              (Johan Neeskens)

(Kiki Musampa)

                                  Marco van Basten                       Dennis Bergkamp

                                  ( Johan Cruijff)                            (Patrick Kluivert)

(Rafael van der Vaart)                (Nwankwo Kanu)

                                  (Benni McCarthy)                        (Ryan Babel)

I think that its obvious to everyone that Ajax Academy system is the best in the world

When i see all of these players they have produced and still producing it just make me think about how important is

the academy system in general!!!

They have made enormous amount of profit with the sales of these players and they have still managed to win titles

They are example for all the clubs around the world imo

When I construct the team of Barca academy graduates I only include players who are still currently playing actively, and well. I include Albert Luque because the whole Newcastle thingy is a joke, he was a class not so long ago.

I have trimmed your Ajax team down to

Edwin van der Sar

Johnny Heitinga, Nigel de Jong, Urby Emanuelson

Clarence Seedorf, Wesley Sneijder, Rafael van der Vaart, Edgar Davids

(Steven Pienaar)

Patrick Kluivert, Ryan Babel

(Benny McCarthy)

I don't count Chivu as Ajax youth product as he joined Ajax at 19 years old. On similar reasons I have also discounted Kanu and Trabelsi and Mokoena. Both Piennaar and McCarthy graduated from Ajax Cape Town, not the Ajax Academy proper so I put them on the bench.

OK

But when you look at Ajax youth system in general and Barcelona's and when you look how many players Ajax have produced you must agree that they have the best youth academy in the world

All the players i mentioned in the Ajax team are/were world class and i doubt you will find so many players in Barca's team who came through the youth system

Because he came through the Barcelona Academy?  :idiot2:

agreed. which is why messi is not a product of barca.

Why?

so would you say that fabregas is a product of arsenal's youth team?

The only difference is that Messi signed for Barca at the age of 13 and Fabregas signed for Arsenal at the age of 17

I thought Troisi is a striker?

Can you please kindly rate and describe the potential of each of the player? I am hungry for reserve news but I don't know where to find enough information.

Eh? What are you whooshing exactly?

I'm quite aware that Nick was joking, hence the double 'lol' smilies. The "Sorry but" was just because I was (as was he) putting down own own reserve players.

There's your explanation. I don't get whooshed.

All that spiel and no mention of Hedwiges Maduro, for shame.

Ajax wins though, what's more is that the majority of their youth players are from the Amsterdam area.

Forster - know little about him, though he was on the bench versus Frankfurt.

Gate - I think hes about 22, not likely to make it into the first team as he probably would have made it before Hunty and Edgar.

Huntington - PREM exp. *

Edgar - PREM exp. *

Doninger - not sure.

Troisi - not sure.

Pattison - PREM exp.

Lualua - new Gazza apparently (Wharton) and only 16, been on the bench a few times for first team. *

O Brien - Has pace, but seems to do little with the ball.

Carroll - Seems stick thin, with little muscle and has scored prolifically for the reserves.

Donaldson - only 15, but has scored 7 goals in 10 games for the U-18s and made his debut for the reserves already this season. *

IMO these * may feature for the first team more prominently in the future.

How do you know so much about Man Utd youth players but don't know anything about you own clubs youngsters?

Although I haven't time to look now, I'd say that Manure can't be far behind. Depends how far back you go but they've produced some class players as far back as Duncan Edwards, Bobby Charlton and the Busby babes. Not to mention George Best. Then the more recent crop.

Blatant ManU fan, when he joined TT it took something like 3 posts for him to be talking about ManU.

Delima is a total closet manc, can't recall seeing a thread started by him that wasn't about the manc wanks

On the thread topic, Footy Focus this morning were creaming themselves over Sporting Lisbon, on the basis of just Figo (just about to break through imo) and Ronaldo (cheating cunt). Titheads

And for the best footy analysist in the world, I haven't forgotten about you mate. Did I see right a while back you're Bulgarian? FFS Lecturing me on Pressley. Anyway, pop quiz, whic club recently signed a top class defender that scored an equalising header in a crucial domestic cup game (keeping them in both domestic and champions league so far), and which club has just loaned the most softest spoken mild mannered 6 foot odd man on the planet as a 'defender'?

Reminds of a comment someone made behind me at the match after we signed Hamman - "FFS how can we be the club the finds the only soft German"
