James
Will be an absolute fiasco, building it, if things are similar to other Portsmouth seafront construction projects. Good design though. Conveys the ambition town officials have for the city, so getting planning permission will be easy. Council actually probably reccomended it.
The Bonk
i like it. very unique design. What he said, very ambitious and modern. They can just turn Fratton into the toilet bowl it should be.
Yorkie
Aye, like the modern design of it. Surely susceptible to flooding, though?
Sparks
Way to ambitious can't see it ever getting built.

Stevie
To give an idea of location and why it will cost so much to build if it is to be built, can't see it happening to be honest. http://img353.imageshack.us/img353/7628/fp7lc8.jpg Most of Portsmouth is 10 feet below sea level anyway, so global warning should see that this venture is fucked within 20 years. 36,000 is too big for them anyway. Disco
Aye still struggled to fill Fratton this season. There have been previous plans to redo Fratton by turning the pitch 90 degrees over last few year but they've done nowt about it. If you look at the pitches at bottom of screen should jus build there and share with the Navy club. Hopefully by the time its finished they've fucked back off to the Championship

Aye very true, real clubs with real supporters even if Leeds fans are a bunch of cunts on the whole. Always a good game when we play Leeds usually as well with a cracking atmosphere. Get Fulham,Wigan, Charlton and other such shit clubs back down the leagues
madras
gonna make a new thread about this sort of thing..ie who should be in the top flight.

Get Fulham,Wigan, Charlton and other such s*** clubs back down the leagues If you were to put 20 clubs who you'd like to see in the Premiership based on stature, it's a very hard question to answer if even Boro would be in that 20 or not. Offshore
Hm wonder if they'll do a Southampton, build a new state of the art stadium which loses the intimidation/uniqueness of their original (the Dell) and get relegated. While its a shit-hole, Fratton park isn't somewhere teams go with much confidence, its kept them up before.
Stevie
gonna make a new thread about this sort of thing..ie who should be in the top flight. You'll get cunts saying "whereth the thenth competithon there like?" but there's so many shit clubs in the Premiership now. Mind there was plenty in the 80's Oxford, Luton, Notts County, Swansea etc...

Wouldnt be suprised, their home record kept em up when they were first up, look at our record at The Dell, hadnt won their for fuck knows how long and then we've never lost at St. Marys. Still whether it'll get built is still up for debate. Even if an away team is playing well its hard for the away support to generate noise due to the lack of roof so noise jus evaporates skywards unlike the home stands. Guest b0f
Looks fantastic. At last, a new stadium that doesn't look exactly like every other identikit bland-o-drome. This is exactly what i thought when i first saw it. Far prefer to be travelling to see this then another reebok stadium....

midds
Looks decent enough from the pics but I doubt it'll be full once the novelty of a new stadium wears off. Don't know about building it on reclaimed land either. Got to be dodgy, surely?
