tbh its more 'entertaining' in the normal fancy flicks and showboating vein, but the amount of fall over, kick the ball out, kick it back that goes on is insane. Plus I like the prem for its exceptionally defensive tactical fun...

i saw a little bit of that game last night, from across the other side of some dodgy drinking establishment in sunny ashington.

 

From the little bit i saw, the game was being played with a suprising amount of pace, from what i recall of watching laliga(not often)

 

I saw these 2 sides play in madrid last year and espanyol were awful.  Seemed more even game last night

Anybody noticed that

 

Since 2001,whenever Manchester United with the premier league,  Real Madrid win the La-Liga

 

And whenever Arsenal win the premierleague, Valencia win the La-Liga

 

And whenever Chelsea win the the premierleague, Barcelona win the La-Liga

Beckham may actually end up having a medal to show for his time at Real Madrid.

 

Probably deserves one more before he retires this summer...

Read somewhere a few months ago that he's the longest serving player in Real Madrid's history never to have won a trophy.
