Cajun
Being touted today for £2m, anyone take him for that? Certainly an improvement on Carr (imo) and £2m isn't a vast amount of money.
Guest Morph
No. We should go for better.
Yorkie
For £2m, it's definitely worth it because he's decent enough. People were saying £6m at the start of the season...
Yorkie
No. We should go for better. Young/Solano to choose from at right-back is something i'd be more than satisfied with.
Guest Morph
Rather have Tyrone Mears than Luke Young. Never liked the fella.
Cajun
Rather have Tyrone Mears than Luke Young. Never liked the fella. That the Mears who wasn't good enough to get into last seasons shocking West Ham side? (awaits to be told he was injured all season or something )
Yorkie
Rather have Tyrone Mears than Luke Young. Never liked the fella. Seriously? Never rated him. His positional awareness is God awful.
Rich
Was wondering when we'd get linked with him. Certainly wouldn't be upset if he's as cheap as that and if it meant the end of Stephen Carr.

It was a joke LoL! I'd go foreigner at full back, preferably a hard bastard from Argentina or summit.
Guest posadageordie
No, he's complete and utter shite.
Nobody
Yes please! For 2m, he'd solve our right-back problem. Young/Nobby is definately enough to cover RB for this season, and when Nobby is getting too old (next year?) we can splash out a bit more as we hopefully have a bigger squad that doesn't need as much strengthening as this year. Newcastle Fan
I like him, his tackling is pretty decent and i think he will do a good job here, but i think we can get better.
Guest Guinness
For £2m definately worth a punt. Plus at that price it would mean we could concentrate spending elsewhere on the side.
Guest Morph
Muse - City of Delusion. Should be our new fucking entrance music next season.

Nate
I'd rather Solano and Taylor cover the position next season, and hope we're able to prioritise buying a top right-back the following year. He isn't an improvement on what we have.

He isn't an improvement on what we have. Wrong, but i agree with the rest of it. I won't be too fussed if our concentration on more pressing needs means not bringing in another right-back. It isn't really a problem area at the moment. Difference here, is that he is so cheap. Worth a punt for sure.
Guest
No, not for me. Vastly over-rated.
Cajun
Plus Solano is only here for another year and when we do go out and spend big money on a top right back we will still need someone as back up.
Minhosa
I'd take him if only to bin Carr. He'd be a useful addition to squad and has a good fitness record and limited disciplinary problems. For £2m we could do A LOT worse!
1878
We're one of the clubs linked for £2m. I hope it's not true because it would be a waste of money, he's not better than Hibbert or Neville. I'd rather we signed a left back.
Guest
There's a Nigerian international who would also only cost around £1m, with bags of European & Premiership experience, and at a good age (27ish) going if you're interested?
