Well in that case, TT, i think you're very difficult to please - because he came across to me, and most, as a very assured right-back who commanded the defensive line very well! Plus, like i said before, when he's playing from deep, he can pick out a fucking ace long pass; that's Nobby through and through. Last game of the season being the prime example.

Strangely I still think our front 6 is a long way from being sorted.

If it stayed the same today though, I wouldn't drop Owen just to form a 4-3-3/4-5-1.  Stick to the 4-4-2 at least at home with something like Zog - Emre - Barton - Milner behind Owen - Duke.  Away go with the 4-5-1 sure.

Personally I'd play 442 with a central pairing of Barton/Emre.

Not that I think Emre is any good, just that IMO Barton and City were always at the best with a central pairing of Barton/Reyna, and Emre seems most like Reyna from your guys...Deep lying keeping it simple type...

Stick Milner on the right, 2 from 3 up front, on the left a tossup or someone new...happy days.

But I think SA will go 451. Not sure how tho, can't see how Owen fits in...

Was just about to post something like this. Not sure about Rozenhal (don't know that much about him to be honest), I would like us to get a more proven centre back really, but hey, you never know mabye he's another of Sam's not-very-well-known-but-decent players.

Looking at that team more I think we could do a lot of damage to most teams.

Agree with that.

Nobby impressed me as a rightback last season, and that's got nothing to do with Carr being shit. I'll be more than happy with Nobby as first choice rightback next season.

I think given the personnel at the club, and the players being linked, NSG isn't far off the mark.

GK - Given

LCB - Rozenhal

RCB - Taylor

CB - Ben Haim

LWB - Baines

RWB - Milner

DM - Butt

CM - Barton

CM - Dyer/Emre

CF - Owen

CF - Viduka
