Everyone and his donkey on here last year (when I proposed buying him) were saying they were unsure about Babel or "never heard of him"..."shit striker"..."Isn't he a winger"? Now he's at Liverpool suddenly we're all "interested".

To be honest a lot of the Ajax fans thought we were being ripped off when the price was rumoured at £5m.

Will be interesting to see what he does next season but it seems like he has been a little overhyped since this tournament.

I'm looking forward to seeing the all new....Sooooper Doooper goal scoring legend that is 'Luque'  :clap2:

As well as how Gareth Bale lives up to quite a bit of hype!!

piennar was seen as the next big thing a few years back, not sure why he has fallen back so much, but he has got some fantastic skills and hes a clever playmaker.

He had a pretty average time in Germany.

Luque for sure - he is like a new PL player  - like a new signing if he gets a proper chance to impress that is - if he gets his Depo form back - one hell of a player. Newcastle have got some fab individual players if you think about it - no balance or a team which lets them down. Owen, Luque, Martins, Viduka, Milner, Solano, Emre, Geremi, Duff, N'Zogbia, Dyer, Given, Barton, Taylor- there really is some talent in there - top 6 talent, easy.

Babel for me at the min.. and of course Sir David Healy  :coolsmiley:

Babel was very eye-catching when Liverpool played in Hong Kong last week. The other new striker of the Scousers, Voronin, was very impressive too.
