Newcastle has not moved in the close season, it is still as far from London as it was in May, and these blokes are loaded. Why can they not make some arrangement to move their families up here, or see their kids when they can. A fella my bloke works with is on around £17,000 a year, his kids live in Peterborough with his ex-wife and he drives down on a friday evening and stays in a travel lodge at the weekend, so he can be with them. Why these stars cannot manage when they are on bloody good wages, when they are in the south quite frequently, and when they have long summer breaks is beyond me. For the love of god... it's only a season. Less than a year. Then he's either: 1) Going to retire... in which case he can spend as much time as he likes with his kids. 2) Heading back to Peru/Boca for a year or two... in which case he'll have a much bigger commute on his hands.
