Hope sensibly reading my post from yesterday on Gittens
-
Garcia a release clause is as low as £21m! Admittedly not seen him play but from what I’ve read he seems VERY highly rated. Hope this is true.
-
😆 naa thought @Ikon was on about Kane, should of went to specsavers.
-
Nice. Angel Garcia is quite reliable apparently
-
Bit more here: Newcastle, one step away from Joan García, according to 'Cazurreando' Despite interest from multiple Champions League clubs, according to Ángel García, Newcastle will pay the Espanyol goalkeeper's release clause. According to journalist Ángel García, better known as 'Cazurreando' , Newcastle are very close to securing his services . The English club, backed by the multi-millionaire Saudi owner of the Public Investment Fund , has taken a decisive step forward and is willing to pay the full €25 million release clause. This is a clear sign of their firm and ambitious interest. The Magpies, in the midst of fighting to secure their presence in European competitions next season—possibly in the Champions League—are looking to strengthen a key position with a young, reliable goalkeeper with enormous potential. Joan fits the modern profile that the Premier League demands: good footwork, reflexes, leadership, and room for growth.

You do realise LE is one of EH’s most trusted journalists. Managers do call in favours to plant stories for their benefit. We don’t need to know if he’s fit do we? Even more so Arsenal don’t need to know our likely lineup. So what’s the problem?
-
Who knows the premier league, Gittens?
-
He would be brilliant, probably a load of rubbish though.
-
Probably not but he knows the premier league and a proven goal scorer. Good starter for cup games and last 30 minutes etc.. Rather him than Wilson, but like you say sights could be set higher.
-
Might as well not have posted either tweet the daft prick.
-
Hell yeah to Garcia, for me. Meh on Gittens.
-
Supposed to be very good! Only 23 too.
-
Newcastle wins the bidding for Joan García. @__AngelGarcia__ reveals that the English club is very close to paying the clause of the brilliant @RCDEspanyol goalkeeper.

He’s a bit one dimensional Gittens according to some German fans. They said that if Dortmund got anywhere near 50m euros for him they would be laughing on their way to the bank. He hasn’t even proved himself in the Bundesliga yet. Also, don’t see us being after him anyway.
-
I’d like a cheeky bid for Harry Kane if we get champions league, nice back up. Just a thought don’t kill me.
-
Can't see us in for him if he is predominately a LW.

Eddie Howe - Nominated for Manager of the Season

Finish 2nd or 3rd and it’s definitely Howe’s to lose. Get 5th on goal difference or whatever and you have to give it to Slot. -
Seems he can play both left and right but prefers LW according to Dortmund fans. Some of them also saying he's quite selfish and perhaps a bit overconfident

Eddie Howe - Nominated for Manager of the Season

I'd say Slot's favourite given them running away with the league in his first season in charge. Who else has exceeded their club's expectations the most? Gotta be Nuno. Forest were probably hoping to avoid a relegation scrap and they're still challenging for top 5. That said, last 2 games - if we win both and finish second & Forest lose both & finish 7th you could make a good case for Howe over Nuno. If we lose both and Forest win both and come above us it would seem mad to pick Howe over Nuno. -

I'd hope Eddie gets the LMA award. Has to, Shirley? -
I do think not having a serious team challenging them for the title has helped Liverpool massively, mind. It's obviously a great achievement in his first season, but Arsenal and City have been nowhere near.

Just reading up on Gittens, seems he's already told Dortmund he wants to leave this summer. Apparently because their coach is playing a system that doesn't suit him rather than anything more dramatic.
