looked very dodgy on MOTD - looked like Leeds 1972 TBH
-
he played quite well - FFS He's out of the youth team into sitting on teh bench and palying at Chelski in a coupleof months and he hasn't disgraced us - I'd rather see him than Bramble on the pitch anyday

As fans they stare in amazement at the comittment and noise generated for a team who have won nowt in 60 odd years - some think we're all barking of course we have a reputation for being friendly if boisterous - certianly no Millwall Our chants are funny and just mindless obscenity (well, not all of them anyway) We make a match into an occasion - mayeb a throwback to a differnt era when people cared about the club they supported and not the CL - people look forward to us coming ( because they can beat us of course) but we generate that adrenalin rush (just see the Belgians board when they drew us "NEWCASTLE!!") in a way that the Boltons and Blackburns of this world can only dream of

he was very in and out on Wednesday - some nice touches but nowhere near as good as teh Zog

"Blaydon races" is an ADVERT - an ad for George Rileys gig in Blaydon on Race Day "They called him Jackie Broon I saw him talking to some chaps And them he was persuadin' To gan and see Geordie Ridley's show At the Mechanics' Hall in Blaydon" It's thought he composed and sang it a week or so before in the town and it caught on like wild-fire and became by far his greatest work and the geordie Anthem When the club was formed it was an obvious choice for OUR anthem "bubbles" was an enormous popular hit in 1923 when the Hammers first won the Cup Final - they sang it that day and have done so ever since - and good luck to them teams like Chelski, Arsenal and ManU have no real song at all

from teh Beeb Newcastle deny takeover rumours Newcastle have announced they are yet to accept any takeover bid. Reports in Friday's newspapers claimed American financiers Polygon and the United Bank of Switzerland (UBS) had succeeded with a joint £227m bid. But a Newcastle statement said: "The board wishes to clarify that it has not accepted any proposals nor is any due diligence being conducted. "There can be no certainty that an offer will be made, nor as to the terms on which any offer will be made." The Magpies have been the subject of takeover rumours for some time. Jersey-based investors The Belgravia Group appeared to be leading the chase after opening talks with the club over the summer. However, the Daily Mail reported on Friday that Polygon and UBS were poised to complete a takeover. That led Newcastle's share price to rise by 8% but the club are adamant that they are no nearer to finding a new owner. Six of the Premier League's 20 clubs have foreign owners - Chelsea, Manchester United, Portsmouth, Aston Villa, Fulham and West Ham. Liverpool have announced they are in "exclusive negotiations" with a Dubai-based consortium for a possible takeover.

Yaeh - its a frightening look into the future I thought.............
-
It'll never happen - no club will take the risk of being sued if there WAS an accident

Time wasting - Shearer used to do the same TBH

apart from the odd idiot most of the ones I was sitting amongst commented:- on our unbeleivable injury list the fact that they weren't going to see Bramble "perform" the noise we were making in the corner the awfulness of their performance and TBF they observed a very respectful silence and proffered sincere applause when the Zog was carried off Civilisation is obviously spreading into those parts Mind I've NEVER been in a ground where so many muppets tried to get into the wrong seats - some were 5 or 6 gates from the correct one........................
-
well chelski's songs are grim beyond human belief they even started "I'm forever blowing bubbles..." at one point whereas our lot made a load of noise all teh way through and often got a laugh from teh opposition for the whit
-
Babararo started very poorly but certainly improved significantly Butt was always there Sibierksi and Martins did all you could ask for - often on their own Taylor looked very solid considering that most Chelski fans around me had forgotten that SWP was on the pitch ......................
-
I was sitting opposite you BRV and agree with all you say one thing that I noticed tho was just how much BIGGER the chelski players were than our lot - they looked as if their training regime, like that of the Arse, really bulks up their players
-
I think they 'd be useful- the oppostion would be in tears of laughter all the time and The Zog, Duff and Solano could nip in and score.....................
-
its one of the three or four in there
-
http://sport.independent.co.uk/ but not the table I refered to above - they haven't loaded it................................ you have to buy the paper I'm afraid..............
-
looking at their results they seem to be able to score home and away and they don't fold if they go behind how very different from our own dear team............
