Back to the targett debate, I just want us to get some pace in defence. Targett’s ok but he’s looked a bit slow since he came back from injury.

We really needed to finish 6th or 7th last season (from an expectations point of view). If we can spend the next three seasons challenging the top 6 we’ll push on from there. On the flip side, I CANNOT FUCKING WAIT TO SEE US IN THE CL AGAIN. Bring it on.

Maybe the fact the first didn't happen has helped with the second? Maybe he's benefitted more under Howe's coaching methods than he would have done playing for Preston?

I hate writing players off this early, but it's fairly obvious he's not suited to an Eddie Howe style team. We should have used the money elsewhere, on Jeremie Frimpong.
