February 4th - New Open NUSC Meeting - Download link (most of it) in OP

What's that got to do with making a profit again? "They" wanted to leave a club that is being run into the ground. You're moaning about them making a profit when you can't prove that's what they were/are after, even if it looks that way given the lack of funds coming out of us. I'm well aware of your second sentence, I even say as much in that post. I'm not disagreeing that Given/Insomnia left mainly because of the club's ineptitude, and nor am I disagreeing that the profit they've made on the likes of them and Milner hasn't been put to good use. I am disagreeing with this idea that they wanted to sell. I don't think we'd have spent much regardless of who left the club, and that is a sorry state of affairs. The whole squad was up for sale in the summer vis a vie Owen being touted and Barton telling us the club was trying to sell him. I don't believe for a minute they even made a bid for Johnson regardless of what they say. What happened to the two int class loanees? Gomis, the right back, the wow signing...Where are all these players JFK keeps spouting on about. I'm not moaning at all I'm just bemused by the level of horseshit we're being fed. It's not ineptitude either it is they way they roll, they are investing in the baseline and extracting organic profit from the business it is as clear as day. Man City said that bids had been made for Johnson. Are you just claiming we didn't make one of them? On what basis? I don't count calling them on the last day asking if he was available as a bid in all seriousness. If they had any compunction to buy the player he would either have been approached on the first day of the window or packaged in the Given deal. This is just smoke and mirrors and lip service. Actually he's still inj according to his agent and not even properly running yet, so what good would he have been? It's nonsense to pull the wool over peoples eyes. I don't disagree. I'm just saying that there was certainly a bid. -

Half of their fans turned up. Happens at most of our cup games doesn't it?

You are kidding right? 10,000? There are divison 4 (sorry league 2) teams with higher attendances. You mean Bradford? Blackburn got half of their average attendance, so it's not actually as low as you think.

Sadly I've heard similar (not that Shay was in Blyth) that the players regard Kinnear as somewhat a joke. It's hardly an exclusive. The players will hate the fact that we're in the position we're in. I'd LOVE it if we got Steve Bruce. That's how much my hopes have dropped.

Nicky Butt enacts one-year contract extension clause

Think he'd be a decent player if he wasn't playing. -
Extremely similar to Keegan though?

"cut your nose off, despite your face" You could call it that or you could call it standing up for yourself and saying enough is enough! http://www.multimap.com/s/VFC5qP6w

Worst news of the transfer window IMO -
no to what ? Speaking of 5 years, Mike Ashley is 2 years into his "plan", which automatically brings success, far better than simply trying to buy good players as they become available, and so keep the ones you alread have happy and try to build on them. So be patient. No to the thread question? Keep up fella yep, I changed it, but you didn't reply to the rest. Keep up lad EDIT: Why are you talking to me about having patience with Ashley, when I've clearly just said I'm not backing him? why are you harping on to me when you have finally realised that he's taking the club nowhere ? I was answering your question. He's carried on taking the club where Fred was taking it. Congrats to you.

Why do people persist in saying this, that's all we ever do regardless of the situation, that's all we have done and no doubt will always do. Its a pointless thing to say because it goes without saying surely. So why have you started a thread with 'Are we going to stand for this'? He'll cheer the players, but he needs a message board to vent his anger on.
-
Feel free to answer. EDIT: Surely asset stripping is reducing the value of the club? Won't he just get a lot less for it when he sells? I know you struggle answering questions, so apologies that I've asked 4 in a row. Try the first one, then we'll move on.

At a cost of £2.6m? Where did that utterly and completely random number come from. Isn't that the rumoured amount we still owe on him if he plays two more games? It's a completely insubstantial shit rumor though. I think that's why I used the question mark.

I personally thought it was more important to appoint a manager who knew what he was doing. The players are good enough to stay up.

Pre Match: West Bromwich Albion vs. Newcastle United - 07/02/09 3pm

Most will be pleased they've kept their place (Nicky Butt) -
We won't know if that's the case until 14 games from now. End of thread. So if we stay up, successful transfer window then? And if we go down? unsuccessful?

Wow, chomp indeed. I just find it funny that you give up on the club every single f***ing season, despite being a "genuine fan". If you really support the club, you'd stick by them even in the conference. Unlike you I don't have another team to support and while I threaten to jack it all in from time to time (who seriously hasn't?), I'm still here and will always support the club. Keep playing that card, makes you look hard I've not threatened to jack it in at all, despite not even being from Newcastle. Surely it's easier for me to give up on the club than you? However, I'm still here, hero Seriously I'm just not in the mood for it, I'm aware I'm acting a t*** and biting but I can't help it at the moment, I just feel real shitty where NUFC is concerned. Like I said helplessness and bitter really. I see all that is happening to us and how bad it all is, and there is f*** all I can do about it other than vent my spleen on here so I'm afraid people will just have to excuse me for that, or not. You should try Southend on a snowy Tuesday night mate Do you know what a lot of people will say such things but I bet more fun can be had from such outings than a trip to say Stamford Bridge or Anfield these days. If we go down I'll actually make an effort to go to away games at such places and I imagine our away attendances would shoot right up. Imagine my dilemma if Scunny go up though

Arteta has been class like.
