I actually think they had better players than they have now, bar Torres.

Newcastle are currently playing better football than Liverpool. Newcastle are a Fernando Torres and Steven Gerrard away from being in the top 6. Take those 2 away from Liverpool and they're nothing but a mid-table team. Newcastle are currently playing better football than Liverpool. I think that's a ridiculous thing to say tbf. Aye, gan canny. Only Beye, Owen and Martins would come close to getting in Liverpool's team. Perhaps Enrique given time. That's not the point I'm making. I said that they'd be a mid-table team without those 2. I didn't say that all of our players were better than theirs. Without Gerrard and Torres this season, Everton, Aston Villa, Blackburn and Portsmouth would all probably be above them. I don't see what is so ridiculous about that at all.

Plastic fans??? In what way? In the way that all my mates and most of Ireland are ManUre fans and all bar 2 of them have never been to OT, the 2 that have been have only been twice. Now when your team plays the football and has the players like Man Utd surely you would always be there? They say they cant afford to go, when our local pub organises trips to OT for £80 a head. 80 fucking quid man. One of my friends started supporting them after they won the league last year ffs. Also to these guys their idea of support is LITERALLY sitting in the pub cheering, they do shit like clap off subs, chant etc. When they played us there recently, they were chanting shit like "sad geordie bastards" and "cheerio" etc, there was only 1 nufc there and that was me and i wasnt even going anywhere. They chant to the TV and that makes them content, they couldnt care less about going to games. Also most of them claim to be these great fans, one of them told me he was supporting "yanited" back before they were winning things, he is fucking 20. Also that guy i mentioned who started supporting after they won the league last year, aye hes been a life long fan now like. Ahh, so plastic in the sense that nearly every club in the Premiership has fans like that, including Newcastle. Man United just have more of them because they're a better team to watch. That's life I'm afraid. Newcastle attracted plenty of people like that when Keegan was manager the first time around.

The rest of their players are pretty average tbh.

Go on then - tell me which of our attacking midfielders are better? We don't really have any attacking midfielders to tell you the truth. But we can do better. But go ahead, sign him just because we can. Who cares how good he is. He plays in the right position so that'll do me. I'm guessing you've actually never heard of the guy until he appeared in the topic title? Who do you think we could attract that would be better suited then? I've heard of him, don't worry. David Bentley. Bentley's a right winger isn't he? He's also recently stated he wants Champions League football.

I absolutely loathe what they represent. A pack of medieval grunts riding their f.... luck every time they get the opportunity. It's not Arsenal that loses, it's the whole f.... philosophy of football and sports in general. This is a business on a football pitch, sure it's "good" business but f... it if you lose your soul on the way. What are you talking about you bitter bitter person??? Have you even heard yourself?? what a slava!!! Any hatred of Liverpool comes down to 1 thing, pure and utter jealousy, and as for anyone slagging of the Liverpool fans, when was the last time Newcastle fans created such an atmosphere, and supported there time for 90 minutes like the Liverpool fans did? My remarks there are definitely bitter, but that's pretty obvious with all the "f...." flying around. Your comment about jealousy is way off target actually. My "bitterness" was (or rather still is) directed solely to those 11 players on the field and the pack of people that put those same players on the field, a.k.a. the staff. What the Liverpool players have promoted in this last couple of years is the kind of football that's just too hard for me to digest, i can't think of any other term here. It's not pretty, as to opposed Arsenal philosophy which i find admirable and inspiring, and above all else "pretty" to watch to a neutral spectator. I'm not a fan of Arsenal, Liverpool, or Newcastle for that matter, I just find that both Wenger and Keegan football philosophy is "the" right philosophy when approaching football, and that's what i meant when i said Liverpool has no soul. The football they play is stripped of it. Defensive, unattractive, utterly physical football is something I (or any neutral spectator i imagine) don't want to look when i watch the "European greats". Let's put it this way, for me in last nights game, the "bad guys" won. Regarding fans, they come in all shapes and sizes, everyone should treat their club and themselves as the best, whilst respecting the other team and it's fans in the process. Apart from Torres, now that lad is worth watching. Lad? I don't think he's human. He's a fecking machine!

50 stitches for Petr Cech in freak training ground accident
Shearergol replied to Jamie's topic in Football
He's been told to wear it for 3 years. I guess the damage was so bad that his skull has "thinned" in that area (I knew the technical term for that before) and will take that amount of time to rebuild fully. Meh, I only wanted to know why you thought he was a wanker -
He's not really as left sided as those two. I'd struggle to see where he'd actually play in this current formation, as we don't really have a player like him at the club. More of a replacement for what Emre should have been.

 Thats the funniest thing I've ever read. Why so? He wears the headguard because he's been told that any future injury to his skull could result in fracture and brain damage. The headguard gives him that protection, as well as extra confidence. You find it funny that doctors have advised that he protects himself? EDIT: Am I being whooshed here? -

Sorry, but that's utter bollocks. I'm jealous of Man United, and I don't hate them. Your post (I'm assuming you're a Liverpool fan) shows one of the many reasons Newcastle fans hate Liverpool. So far up your own backsides you don't know what's really going on.

Hmm, tiny bit harsh calling him a wanker for not wanting to suffer brain damage. -
How Would You Feel About Winning The Title For Man U?
Shearergol replied to Shak's topic in Football
Best case scenario is that we beat Chelsea, but Man United lose their other games so don't win it anyway. -
That's the spirit Could sign them both.

Sitting in Scunthorpe as I am, I can tell you that most Hull fans think they'll survive if they go up.

He made his debut about 3 months before the end of a season, and played quite a few games. The season straight after that he was a regular starter. I have no idea what time period you're actually talking about. He was playing right back FFS. Hardly a convincing start to his career. My point is that he wasn't anywhere near the player he is now and why's that? Experiance, whilst playing in a good side. He's been playing right back this season too (FFS) Alex has just made the point I wanted to about how many games Taylor has played.
-
So we should just pay his wages every week whilst he sits in the treatment room?

That's not funny though. Even after you make your list, I'd still rather play Taylor than Ramage. Says more about Ramage than it does Taylor though.
