Reckon if the poll was reset it would be the other way around?

I think Drogba was playing in the lower leagues until he was about 24-26. His strike rate for Le Mans was awful compared to these days. Shows just how much he's improved as a player. drogbas overrated. one lucky season when he scored lots of goals, imo anelkas a better player than him What's the quickcode for "jesus wept"?

I absolutely hate Reading, so I'm desperate for a big win. I reckon a 2-1 though, Owen with both.

Most of my mates are Man United fans. (My girlfriend and her family are all Liverpool fans, which is worse).

In fairness, there has been some good players relegated over the years who've signed for another Premiership club and done well. Off the top of my head; Andy Johnson Phil Jagielka Ashley Young (albeit he went in Jan, Watford were virtually down) Darren Bent Joe Cole Carrick I'm sure there are loads more though. Fair point, but they are just examples. Look at the teams going down, and you'll not find a single Joe Cole or Michael Carrick. The one with potential is Barnes though.

You mean you can't believe people are happy and a new wave of optimism is springing up? After the preceeding 9 or 10 games no-one expected to kick Spurs arse like that. After the season we've suffered this medicine was exactly what the doctor ordered. No, that's not what I mean. Of course I understand that people are happy and optimistic, but to say that we'd be qualifying for Europe if Keegan had come sooner is nonsense (although if he'd been manager from summer I'd agree). I just can't believe how fickle people are. As Baggio said in the other thread; lose to Reading and people will mention relegation again.

Can't see Man United not winning this competition tbh. Clearly the best team in Europe at the moment.

quote from Andy Townsend: "That's a Shearer type goal"

Ranieri made most of their better signings, but I kinda get your point.
-
There's a reason these teams are being relegated....
-
Only in terms of the league. It's not like they're going to have a major investment in summer without selling first. You're thinking far too short-term if you think Blackburn are a better prospect.

Following the Barca game there's a feature on Ronaldo. Worth a watch for anyone who loves football, despite hating the cheating tit
-
The player who people claim doesn't show up for big games scores AGAIN. Best player in the world at the moment, and as much as I want to hate him, I just can't.
-
I'm surprised Arsenal didn't try to poach Bojan a couple of years back.

Has Newcastle-Online been re-hosted somewhere else? It was only 2 games ago when this place was talking about Newcastle in the Championship. Is everything a knee-jerk?
-
Quaresma wouldn't cut it in this league IMO; Bentley has proved that he's a fantastic premiership player.
-
Barnes, as long as he recovers from this latest operation. None of the others.
-
He claimed it was his dream to play central midfield. Once he played there and was shown up for the poor footballer he is, he complained about having to play there. He can take a running jump for all I care.

A lot will depend on whether or not people like Lampard, Drogba, shevchenko etc are sold in summer. I can see them having a bit of a clear out, and if they do, Bentley is just the type of player they'll be looking at.
-
He's gone off the radar, a good player though. Made the wrong move going to chelsea, like Ben Haim really. I still think Ben Haim would be a great replacement for Taylor.

One thing in our advantage is the fact that Liverpool's owners won't commit to spending that sort of money until they've decided if they're selling or not. I honestly think it'll be between us and Spurs.
