Derby really have been fantastic haven't they. Wonder if Allardyce will forget that we're the only team to lose to them next time he claims he was the right man for the job?
-
which tiago? juve one? that one is shit... ranieri want to get rid of him soon He turned Spurs down, so don't see why he'd come here. He's far from shit though. Turned them down over wages didn't he? Not sure. Has Martin Jol posted in the intimate secrets of the rejection yet?

mackems.gif How is that amusing exactly? Don't bite mate, he's really not worth it. bitter ? Why not prove I'm wrong then, or show you know more about the club than me ? Prove you wrong that Taylor is or isn't better than Senderos? Isn't that a matter of opinion? It's your pathetic use of that smiley which I'm referring to. Makes you look like a 12 year old. well, its a smiley, because I think your silly comments - as above "not really worth it" make you sound like a little girl You're bitter alright, f**k knows what at, but such comments do you no favours I feel that some new posters need warning about you So how exactly would you like me to prove your "opinion" wrong, as you seem to think it's a matter of fact?

Is N'Zogbia's exit inevitable? (Maybe not - Page 24!)
Shearergol replied to TRon's topic in Football
He's not a team player. He's always running down blind alleys and giving the ball away in the process. Dyer was better at what N'Zogbia thinks he's best at. Agree with that completely. -
You'll not have to wait that long if we end the season where we are now because it will be a better position in the league than the season before. I just wonder how that one would be put down as a negative? What position did we finish in Fred's first season as sole chairman?
-
Good shout, but that would mean taking Gerrard off the list, which is against the law.
-
Wouldnt want to sign him tbh. Why not?
-
You still not going to answer then?

There's something that doesn't quite add up here...... I mean Ferdinand should be on the list but there is obviously one man who deserves to win I find it amusing how we can be consistently spanked by Gerrard every time we play Liverpool, yet our fans still severely underrate him. Not at all. I think that on his day he's the best in the world at what he does. What really pisses me off (and the biggest example came the other night, when even he admitted he had a poor game, the papers gave him man of the match) is that even when he's not on form, the media all wank over him. He's been awful for England for the best part of two years, yet there's not one negative comment about him.

You keep saying that often enough but I still don't think anyone believes you. Shola's probably the only on who said it. oh I don't think so Alex. I remember it clearly, and I suspect that you do too. No I don't. The best thing 'the vast majority' has ever said about Shola is that he looked alright when we got to 7th under Roeder. By all means dig up the dozens of quotes you must remember saying he was 'the new Shearer' though. I suspect you'll say you can't be bothered I went through and edited every single post to make sure that you won't be able to find those quotes. EVERYONE apart from Leazes said that Ameobi was the world's greatest ever player though. *insert pathetic hilarious laughing smiley here* and Lampard is the bestest midfield player the world has ever seen. Don't understand your grudge gol, but what the hell eh I'm sure Alex can make his own case if he's that bothered. Someone should have told you by now to stick to the topic in hand, which is Taylor. My opinion is that people overvalue or undervalue homegrown lads. Ameobi got loads of underserved support, and Taylor is getting loads of undeserved grief. Ameobi has got more stick on Newcastle forums than any other Newcastle player. I'm amazed that you claim otherwise. Taylor is an average defender, and it's going to take one hell of a coach to change that. As you've been asked many times, what attributes does Taylor possess which make you think he's going to be a future England captain? Oh, and Lampard is one of the best midfielders in the world

Not really, but seems to be constantly carrying an injury. Fallen out with the manager already too

Real Madrid apparently make £100 million bid for Ronaldo
Shearergol replied to Decky's topic in Football
Works that way on Football Manager. Just have to offer enough money. -
Who were both s***. Didn't think Veloso was tbh. Moved the ball around well. Not a great physical presence in front of the back 4 though. Bit like Carrick imo. Well Carrick's dead cert for coming here, so they need to replace him.
-
He's "Mr England". You can't leave him out of the list. In the same way that he can be England's worst player for the last 2 years and still gets picked.

How much for these players at PEAK in modern day money?
Shearergol replied to Dokko's topic in Football
I suppose the real question which is being asked is do we think Ronaldo is better than any of those? Difficult one. I don't think he's reached his peak, and when he does, he'll be better than every player on that list IMO. -

So this is a none-story then, seeing that it's all agreed. You did however say he was moving in January. What went wrong? -
Are you the Scunny fan who brings the flag to SJP in the Gallowgate? Nope, but might know who that is.
-
I'll avoid Scunthorpe players too then. Lampard; but I think Rooney, Tevez and Ronaldo are awesome, and would pay to watch them.
-
I actually think they had better players than they have now, bar Torres. whaT rubbish Well Finnan was fit, and playing. Hyypia was better 3 years ago than he is now. Carragher was playing in his favoured position. Riise was on form, Gerrard and Alonso were still in the team (Gerrard being on fire that year) and Luis Garcia is one player I feel you've missed this season. The team which beat Arsenal last night, without Torres, would have lost to the 2005 team IMO
-
Picked our best players there I see
-
Newcastle are currently playing better football than Liverpool. Newcastle are a Fernando Torres and Steven Gerrard away from being in the top 6. Take those 2 away from Liverpool and they're nothing but a mid-table team. Newcastle are currently playing better football than Liverpool. Newcastle are a Fernando Torres and Steven Gerrard away from being in the top 6. Take those 2 away from Liverpool and they're nothing but a mid-table team. I think that's a ridiculous thing to say tbf. Aye, gan canny. Only Beye, Owen and Martins would come close to getting in Liverpool's team. Perhaps Enrique given time. That's not the point I'm making. I said that they'd be a mid-table team without those 2. I didn't say that all of our players were better than theirs. Without Gerrard and Torres this season, Everton, Aston Villa, Blackburn and Portsmouth would all probably be above them. I don't see what is so ridiculous about that at all. ----------------------Reina Finnan---Carragher---Agger---Arbeloa Pennant---Alonso---Mascherano---Babel --------------Crouch---Kuyt Subs: Carson (recalled) Skrtel Riise Lucas Benayoun Voronin Better than any of those teams you suggest imo. So having the best striker in the league, and the so-called best midfielder, that hasn't helped their cause one bit? Are you actually saying that they'd still be in fourth without those? :D
