Things we can learn from the first half: Rozzy not only isn't a centre back, he's not a right back either. We're going to miss Faye. Enrique needs to play at left back. N'Zogbia needs to play on the left wing. Duff seems to have forgotten how to beat a fullback. Smith and Butt can't play together unless we want a midfield with zero creativity. We could do with signing a striker or two. Any others?

If you're looking for Smith, just have a look to see where Butt is, and he'll be about 2 yards away. Maybe someone could point out to them that the fact they play so close to each other is the reason the midfield gets bypassed.
