  1. People at work seem to think it's getting divvied up.
  2. Rossi was blocked from playing in the UEFA Cup. At that stage of the season that was half of the games we were playing more or less. It made no sense to keep changing the team and Rossi lost out. If he had been free to play, he would have started more games.
  3. There are loads of places for Expos and shows in London, most of which don't involve going somewhere as horrible as Stratford.
  4. I'd sooner have the benefit of holding the cash tbh.
  5. The London Evening Standard is landfill, a free hand-out like the Metro. If he could write articles, he'd be writing for an actual newspaper.
  6. To be fair, it is only recently that they have been back in the Conference, which realistically is probably the lowest level you want to be loaning potential Premiership players.
  7. Carson Yeung Yes, and his mysterious company which has never posted a profit. Portsmouth mark II.
  8. http://www.thisislondon.co.uk/standard-sport/football/article-23910743-tottenham-step-up-the-pressure-to-secure-andy-carroll-move.do? Might as well be taken from the Metro.
  9. We were always short of quality up front going into the season- this was inevitable.
  10. You might want to check when we actually signed Smith and Xisco.
  11. It doesn't really make any difference, whatever way you look at it, it's cash taken out of his pocket and put into the club. Calling it a loan just makes it easier for tax purposes.
  12. As long as there is a steady stream of cash through the gates then Ashley will continue to 'be' NUFC. The club is now solely the product of his calamatous decisions.

    Alan Pardew

It was Fifty in Mayfair. Went into admin in 2009 and I think it is now closed.
  14. Ashley continues to act with the sole aim of getting as much of his money back as possible. Alignment of those aim with the hopes of the fans is coincidental. The club is up for sale, it always has been- now Ashley senses that our good run could tempt a 'more money than sense' buyer to make good all the money that he lost becuase of his own foolishness. Why spoil that by locking in a manager to an expensive contract. If a new owner has to pay out £2m to bring in another manager, then that's £2m off the sale price and £2m less in Ashley's pocket. I wouldn't be surprised at all if interested parties are going through the books before Christmas.
  15. If he didn't blow the whistle then the goal should stand. If anything, the linesman should be at fault for causing such confusion. You can criticise the referee for not giving a free kick, but not for the goal. Referees are encouraged to let the game flow and with the keeper in possession of the ball, was could benefit from making him drop it and take a free-kick? If anything it would stifle a potential counter-attack so late on in the game.

    Keeper Crisis!

We had Budgie on the bench when he was about 44!
  17. If there's any chance of us getting him in on loan, then we should be pulling out all the stops. He wouldn't be able to play every week, but when he did he would have a massive impact on the side.

    U23s & Academy

Not really considering the line-up. They'll have struggled physically.
  19. The same John Barnes who finished top scorer? Even though he had the mobility of a supertanker, he was still a cut above in terms of passing and vision.
  20. How old was Pav when he re-signed?
