  1. To go all the way round it would cost an absurd amount of money, to incorporate Leazes Terrace into a new huge East Stand would be possible but difficult, the other option would be to have the stand free standing, could be done but would be very very expensive and finding enough concourse/access space would be a huge problem. Then you have the issue of planning permission. I can see the Gallowgate getting done in the future if things go well on the pitch but we'll never see it go to level 7 all the way round.
  2. And quite right too. I like Leazes Terrace. Certainly, brilliant building.
  3. Leazes Terrace, it's a listed building, Grade I.
  4. It certainly would look amazing but it will simply never happen. I know, sadly not... people used to say keegan would never come back Who is going to plant a bomb in Leazes Terrace?

  9. From the report on .co.uk 'That joy was short-lived and the Magpies were back on level terms within 60 seconds, Kazenga LuaLua firing a goal of the season contender with an unstoppable 25-yard strike beyond Adam Bartlett's despairing dive.' Adam Bartlett used to be a NUFC academy player didn't he? Who were they playing? Yes he did. Blyth Spartans.

  13. What was the other kid who left at the same time (for the same reasons too iirc) called? Think he might have went on to Forest? He was another one who was highly thought of. James Beaumont and Ross Gardner. Beaumont was at Northwich Victoria but was released, Gardner plays for Ilkeston Town.

  17. Sir Bobby on Barton - ''One or two of the players are looking better now than three months ago, particularly Joey Barton.'' "He's beginning to look a player. A few weeks ago you wouldn't have paid £1m for him, now he's looking like a £5m player because of his attitude, his fitness; he's back in the groove.''
  18. Aye. The current (hopefully permanent iyam) one is based on the city's coat of arms, which was itself our first crest: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/8/80/Arms-newcastle-tyne.jpg Defend it?! The motto means 'Triumphing by Brave Defence' and comes from the Civil War.
