  1. No it isn't, Poyet seems to do it a lot and I'm sure he wouldn't be happy if other teams were openly speaking about Spurs players as transfer targets trying to unsettle them. Probably because the bloke's a Grade-A cock. Yes I'm bitter. Twat always scored against us.

  3. They can talk about them as much as they like, the only rule about tapping up is speaking to the player without the permission of his club iirc.
  4. http://football.guardian.co.uk/News_Story/0,,2261290,00.html?gusrc=rss&feed=7 Tottenham Hotspur have held preliminary discussions with Newcastle United about playing a pre-season friendly in China in the weeks before the Beijing Olympic Games get under way on August 8. Although the talks were far from wide-ranging, and the prospect of the match being staged at this stage are slim, the move reflects the desire of Premier League clubs to make in-roads into far-flung markets. The league's proposal for Game 39 - unanimously supported by the club chairman - might have been placed into cold storage, principally because of Fifa's objections, but the pre-season this year promises exotic friendlies. Discussions have taken place between several top-flight clubs about the possibility of staging matches overseas and, with an eye on Game 39, the league will follow the ventures closely. Tottenham have been cleared to begin planning for their pre-season because they have already qualified for the Uefa Cup, after their Carling Cup final success against Chelsea last Sunday, and they will have no distractions in the summer, such as the Intertoto Cup. Their links with Newcastle stem from the friendship between their former vice-chairman, Paul Kemsley, and Mike Ashley, the St James' Park owner, and others have developed since. Dennis Wise and Tony Jimenez, recently appointed as Newcastle directors, are close friends of Gus Poyet, the Tottenham assistant manager, and Chris Hughton, the former Tottenham assistant manager, has joined Kevin Keegan's coaching staff at Newcastle. Jimenez had previously worked with Ashley and Kemsley. Ashley's company, Sport Direct, has bought a stake in the ITAT Group, the Chinese retail company - he intends to invest up to £20m - and Tottenham also have ties to China through their shirt sponsors Mansion, the online gambling operator. Poyet has revealed the club could "try to do a deal" for the Espanyol pair Dani Jarque and Carlos Kameni. The Cameroon goalkeeper Kameni is on the director of football Damien Comolli's list to challenge Paul Robinson and Radek Cerny for the No1 shirt, and the Spanish defender Jarque, 24, is also being watched. The Spurs manager, Juande Ramos, knows both players from his time managing in La Liga, and Poyet predicts a summer swoop could happen. "The club is following them with a view to strengthening our team," Poyet said. "We haven't yet taken a definite decision to bring them in, but we will try to do a deal in the future."

    Fabio Zamblera

He can't be any worse than the other bunch of miserable fuckers, can he? He hasn't even played a game for the reserves or the academy yet, no way will he be ready for Premiership football. I wouldn't be surprised if he was injured or back in Italy at the moment tbh.

Man United have a great song book to be honest, well their away following does.

    Why is Owen captain?

Was he ever captain at Man City? Either him or Dunne. I think it was him. It certainly would have been a bold move to make him captain, but with his two court cases hanging over him I really don't think it would have been a good idea. As has already been mentioned we don't really have anyone that stands out as captain material.

    Why is Owen captain?

You'll have to ask Kevin Keegan, he appointed him.
  10. Not. KK- "Emre is still a couple of weeks away I think so he'll miss Saturday's game," he said. "Mark Viduka will also be missing. "But of course we've got Oba Martins back after his ankle knock."
  11. If either team plays a long ball game they will be in trouble!
  12. Is it? Must have picked it up quickly, when I spoke to him just before Christmas he couldn't speak a word of English.

  14. Fuck knows, Spurs fans don't know why either.
