Daily Mail article about Owen scoring today with a picture of him from two seasons ago with the caption underneath 'Unfamiliar feeling: Michael Owen celebrates scoring.' I know he's been in poor form of late but still that is pathetic. That was his 189th career goal today, unfamiliar I'm sure.

That's one of the worst yet. Christ, will it ever stop? It really is unbelievable.

Read the thread. ] I've had a look and see nothing that seems to fit with the 'not'. Granted i've just skimmed but it's turned into bickering as usual. Indeed, bickering and not about Fabio Zamblera!

Read the thread. All 21 pages, or could you not just fuking tell him like? Just reading this page and you should realise that it has gone totally off the topic of Fabio Zamblera.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/articles/sport/football.html?in_article_id=511983 FA probe £300,000 bet on Redknapp job By DANIEL KING A high-profile football figure is to be investigated by the Football Association over allegations he bet — and lost — at least £300,000 on Harry Redknapp becoming Newcastle manager. There are reports that the huge wager was staked on Friday, January 11, during the evening in which Redknapp is believed to have shaken hands on a deal to leave Portsmouth and move to the North East, only to change his mind the following morning. It is the second time in just over two years that betting on Redknapp changing his job has come under suspicion, following the probe into the £16.7million market on Betfair when he returned to Fratton Park from Southampton in December 2005. It is understood the individual coming under scrutiny this time was among those who featured in the FA's eight-month inquiry into those betting patterns. Redknapp was questioned by the FA along with others but the FA said there was no evidence that he had inside knowledge which he used himself or passed on to others, and no one was found guilty of any breach of football rules. There is no suggestion that Redknapp has committed any offence on this occasion either, but the re-emergence of a name mentioned in the previous probe will prompt another thorough investigation of betting patterns. An FA spokesman said: "We have clear rules on the use of insider information for betting purposes and if we have suspicions that these rules have been broken we will of course make inquiries." The FA have memoranda of understanding with Betfair and other bookmakers which should allow them access to key information. It is irrelevant that the person concerned allegedly lost money, rather than profited. The FA Handbook states: "A Participant shall not use, or provide to any other person any information relating to football which the Participant has by virtue of his or her position within the game and which is not publicly available for, or in relation to, betting. It shall not be a breach of the above provisions if the Participant can prove that the bet was on authorised and registered football pools." The FA define a participant as 'an Affiliated Association, Competition, Club, Club Official, Licensed Agent, Player, Official, Match Official, Management Committee Member, Member or Employee of an affiliated Club and all such persons who are from time to time participating in any activity sanctioned either directly or indirectly by The Association'.

Doubt it, those in the UEFA cup will have less than us.

Mike Dean.

The shite weather for that Charlton game was pretty sudden iirc, so as long as they are prepared there really shouldn't be any problems.
-
We have under-soil heating which should prevent any problems related to the pitch but when our game was called off the other year against it Charlton it was because the ground was slippery and wet etc and deemed unsafe for the fans.

Mido says he hopes he doesn't get abused again!

Lights to make the grass grow. And credit to whoever came up with the idea. We've gone from having a pitch needing pulled up and replaced three times a season to a near perfect surface all the way through. Indeed, iirc we were the first British Club to use them and a lot of Premiership clubs use them now. Wigan could do with investing in some.

Nearly didn't happen... Lotito revealed to Sky Sport Italia: "There was a problem with the fax machines - one was broken and the other one had run out of ink. "But we sorted the deal in the nick of time and we are satisfied."

Would be a brilliant signing. Got absolutly no idea who´s that is. But who cares? If they say his good I buy it! Bring him in=D He is Academy Director at Portsmouth, didn't do that well when he went into management but has a brilliant reputation and has brought through a number of players in his time in charge of the academies of Leeds and Nottingham Forest. He was phenominal at Forest in particular, literally one after another, Jenas was one of them. Promoted him to manager, was less than successful and they sacked him instead of giving him his old job back. Forest have never been the same since. Yep, I've edited the post above to show some of the players he helped bring through. Regarded as one of the best in terms of youth development, would be a brilliant move if we can persuade him to come here, he's only been at Pompey since March 2007.
