I share KI's view. The transfer policy was out of step with reality. Every player is unaffordable because we value every player less than the selling club/other buying clubs do. And that's even when we move down to the tier below the elite level PL players. There does appear to be a complete lack of contingency options and we again look set to really let ourselves down in the transfer market for the fourth window in a row. The club seems to get an easy ride from others based on past transfer activity, which is largely down to Amanda Staveley who isn't here anymore and no-one has filled the void she left behind with her passion, drive, energy and desire to get this club to the top.

Feel like I've been a bit spoiled by getting more into NFL the past few years and the general loyalty star players have to their teams there (unless their team are absolute arse year after year).

I'd dread to think what this lot would be like at getting a new manager in, considering they can't even sign players.

If we hadn't qualified for the CL I couldn't have begrudged him wanting to leave. But we did...and we won a trophy. Maybe he just realises that the jokers in charge of the club will never build a PL winning team as they can't sign anyone. Its also the fact that he's going to Liverpool. In my head he'd leave only for Real Madrid or Barcelona. Liverpool aren't good enough for him and I can't understand why he doesn't wait another year, light up the CL and then wait for Real Madrid, Barcelona or PSG.

Anything will be a downgrade on Isak. That's why the heel turn is so devastating.
