  1. Id guess Bournemouth (Wilson £20m, Ritchie £10m) but if we've signed someone else from Arsenal to go with Willock it could be them (Hayden perhaps) or someone with Wood from Burnley (Jeff Hendrick was free?) That's if I understand the question correctly
  2. The England team is bang average. Sick of people saying this is the best England team for generations. Apart from Kane and possibly Foden and Bellingham the team is not a patch on the late 90s team. Maguire, Mount, Sterling, Rice, Rashford, etc all overrated because they're English
  3. Such a detailed and indepth response I really appreciate that. So he didn't flop as badly as some of our 'experts' in the media think. Really hope we go for him and this analysis just confirms my belief even more. Thanks ?
  4. Hey @Milanista what are your thoughts on Lucas Paqueta? We have been strongly linked with him but had a disappointing spell at AC Milan after a big move from Brazil. Would like to hear what Milan fans think of him
  5. Going to be played by closed doors so no crowd, will be like watching in lockdown all over again. Probably sack this off now although fancy watching Scamacca as he's been linked so Im tempted.
  6. In a dream world would Lewandowski be realistic If our owners went mental and offered him massive wages? Still way out of our reach I feel.
  7. Probably David Kelly. Was just starting to get into football as a young sprog during 90/91 season and remember being absolutely buzzing when he scored that pearler against Portsmouth. Next season was obsessed with football and he was my favourite player closely folloed by Rob Lee and Gavin Peacock. Andy Cole in the Premier League was another massive hero
  8. Yeah all valid points and it definitely doesn't bother me and would think he'd be a fantastic signing just a possible reason they thought why no big club have went after him. I can't remember him at Milan so not sure how bad he actually was
  9. I liked the story Howey tells about an Ardiles training session when we were shite and low on confidence so thought he'd try a practice match with no opposition. We kick off and it gets passed back to Howey who passes it to the keeper but the keeper is behind the goal messing on with his gloves and we concede a goal. He says Ardiles set up this match to get some confidence and we were losing 1-0 already Ardiles was just there with his head in his hands
  10. I was listening to a discussion about Paqueta on some podcast (forgot which one) and they were saying he flopped really badly in Italy for AC Milan. Might be a reason why no 'bigger' club have went for him
  11. Cheers I will give the Beresford and Andy Woodman a listen next. Noticed Andy Griffin done one too and going off what Bradley Orr was saying about him that'll be worth a listen. So many to choose from so will start with toon related players then might try ones you mentioned (hate Danny Mills as a pundit but probably have some cracking stories) Listened to Sonny Pike, Matt Le Tissier and Jeff Winter ones yesterday afternoon, Winter one was very funny, sounds a decent bloke. Always thought the story about him writing in his autobiography about Anfield clapping for him on his final appearance was him genuinely believing that but you can tell he wrote it as a piss take.
  12. Might be worth waiting until after the Nations League games are finished as knowing our luck he'll get injured if he plays for Holland
  13. Would highly recommend 'Under the Cosh' podcast, had never heard of it until someone on here posted the Steve Howey one (which is brilliant and would highly recommend - Stories about Shearer and Gillespie fight and Tinos porn video haha) . Just listened to the two parter with Bradley Orr and was absolutely fantastic. Can't even remember him at Newcastle but got a couple of stories from his time here, sounds like Dyer was a right prick when he was younger. His time at Blackburn also interesting. Will probably work the catalogue of episodes as sounds like there's lots of interesting guests who'll have a good story
  14. Is this guy a real potential buyer or someone just taking the piss out of them? He looks exactly how I picture Exile1968 in that picture above
  15. Just had a browse and he pulled his hamstring in February and returned on May 8th as a substitute against Lens. Played second half against St Etienne week later then played 62 minutes against Nice 21st May. So definitely dont think he was rushed back
  16. I really hope it is a precaution but if its confirmed as a pulled hamstring then its worrying.
  17. That the 2nd time hes pulled his hamstring since January? There should be genuine concerns like if we are spunking £30m plus on him
  18. Yeah fair enough forgot about that. After that had a ton of winnable games up until almost December when we drew with Man Utd at Old Trafford.
  19. Yep no brainer. Exactly what happened with our 5th placed season under Pardew. Didnt play a top team until November. Its amazing what a good start can do with momentum.
  20. We have Atalanta at home the day before on Friday evening at 19.45pm kick off. Be amazed if we play hours later on Saturday morning
  21. Is there anything more infuriating and disrespectful than the term 'Big 6'. Even see things with the term 'the other 14' getting banded about all the time. Shameless cunts now wanting to decide who they can play in the build up to the world cup. Hopefully they're told to fuck off but I have my doubts
  22. Eh I cant understand that at all. He was offside for sure when pass was made and was there even any contact? Looked a dodgy as fuck dive. Very weird
  23. No pen for me. Looked offside anyway?
  24. What the hell has happened to Stirling last couple of years. Looks awful everytime I see him these days
