Timely reminder of Paul Merson's thoughts when Man City signed De Bruyne
-
Dirty bastard went to do him there. Definite red

This ref is so far up Liverpool's arse here like, no wonder the Villa fans are getting annoyed

£35m for Danny Drinkwater man With regards to Jack Rodwell I actually thought he was a good signing for them at the time. Looked a quality young player at Everton and even City signed him. Fair to say it turned catastrophic and must be the worst signing in their history
-
Can we sign players now btw? Just with Man City signing Haaland this week makes me wonder if we could be able to do the same.

Chris Wood (now playing for Nottingham Forest)

Aye this guy tries hard but has been a monumental disappointment. Been no better than Carroll or Gayle would've been if they'd played which says it all. What a waste of money. Not sure if its too early but I'd flog him in the summer for £10m if some newly promoted team fancies him. -

Don't even think City have been that good, quite sloppy at times. Think the Madrid hangover was there but luckily for them they're up against average opposition and a terrible striker. A better team would've asked questions of them today -

Fuck sake Wood man. Commentators silent -
Think ypu guys are being very harsh on Lampard. Just checked and they were 16th and 4 points above the relegation zone when he was appointed. He had a slow start but so did Howe? Just got to give credit really as everyone thought they had little chance of staying up. Not saying they are playing decent but they are getting the results when the pressure is huge
-
Least we're mathematically safe now barring a 20 goal swing. Think as horrible as Everton has been I think Fat Frank probably deserves some credit for picking up a boat load of points in this 'horrendous fixture list'

To think people on here were wanting Ragnick when we got shot of Bruce, he's absolute pony. Maybe Solskjaer wasn't that bad after all

Any idea what the City lineup was that day. Remember watching it as well. Toon fans doing the Poznan. Remember Aarons had burst on the scene and was very good this match too looked like we'd found a gem. Amazing how shit his career turned out -
Mackems got absolutely pumped 4-0 down Hillsborough around Christmas time. Fancy Wednesday to still get through although Sunderland are definitely difficult to beat now under O'Neil
-
The All Powering English Premier League* have taken a bit of a pasting these last couple of days. Man City, West Ham and Leicester all humbled * According to nearly all English Media
-
Man what a bunch of clueless idiots. Danny Murphy saying we should've went for Big Sam and Jordan saying Joelinton shouldn't be in midfield as he's a striker. Of course Steve Bruce got no abuse at all when they compared

Was browsing YouTube and was recommended the video below of Spanish commentary. Absolute scenes from around 2.30 minutes mark Fair play to the YouTube algorithm they pulled it out the bag
