It did at least confirm we were after Tiote... Would have been nice if the club had just come out and denied it but then that may have just sparked the fires more. Does make you think that Peruvian bloke was actually telling the truth then for him to mention this. Apparently, the condition of Marseille letting him leave (to us or elsewhere) is that he keeps his mouth shut for the time being. It's to quiet though. It wasn't just him making a noise last week, it was his entourage too. we knew when he'd missed training, then we knew he'd missed training again. Then we knew he'd only lasted a matter of seconds in a meeting. Then he was here, then he'd flown back. Now the silence is deafening!!! I understand it's in his best interests to keep his mouth shut but it's still quite a turn around how quiet things have gone.

I think HBA's silence speaks volumes here. Last week, when we were his preferred destination, he couldn't keep his mouth shut and even flew here to try and speed things up. But since the news of Werder Bremens interest he's said nowt. Imo we're now his second choice and because he acted like a petulant kid he's keeping his mouth shut now Germany is more appealing. If he starts going on about Bremen he'll look like a bigger prick than he already does and also burns his bridges with us in the process if the WB move goes tits up.

He's class, if available we should be looking. I doubt he'll leave Man Utd on loan though, he was breaking through a bit towards the end of the season. Is he really that good ?? Where is the story that he's back at Cardiff coming from ? Sky are still running with Cardiff have made no contact and that he's not training with them, although it's something that he has done in the past.

I could understand his love for Cardiff but he's in his 30's now, isn't that when they realise the end of their career is fast approaching and are starting to look for one last pay day ?? Really couldn't see him losing out on tens of thousands per week just to go back home. And although he left under a cloud, and us being one of the favourites to go down, I'd still imagine we'd be more of a pull than Fulham.

I would imagine we'd have as good a chance of any if he were to only go out on loan. It's not like City need the cash so I'd imagine their reluctance in him going to Spurs is true. Out of the teams reportedly interested surely neither Celtic or Cardiff would be able to pay him more than what we could, and he cannot go to Sunderland on loan. Would he really choose Fulham just because of Mark Hughes ?
