I'd say the fact that the Morrison & Markovic rumours were rubbished & this one hasn't speaks volumes sadly -

Don't know if they're all coming from the same source but quite a lot of sites are running the Markovic story now. -

Yes several times. Against who? Not sure if he's done anything similar since but I can certainly recall Martinez coming out & defending him saying he wasn't that type of player and then 2 or 3 comments were made of previous incidents which made it look like he had previous. -

http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2016/08/08/hb-koge-sporting-director-confirms-newcastle-are-set-to-sign-eli/ Newcastle are close to completing the capture of Danish youngster Elias Fritjof Sorensen, according to bold.dk. The report claims that the youngster spent the early parts of the summer training with the Magpies and has sufficiently impressed enough to earn a permanent switch, citing these quotes from HB Køge sporting director Per Rud: “It is true that we are still talking to Newcastle, and we have had several great conversations with them, and it is likely to end up with a transfer. “As with everything else in this world, I cannot say anything with certainty until it is fully in place, and the ends are not achieved together yet. But I'd be lying if I said that there isn’t some truth, for it is there,” said Rud. 16-year old Sorensen became HB Koge’s youngest ever debutant when he was brought off the bench during a First Division encounter with Silkeborg in May. The Spaniard has overseen a host of changes this summer and there was always going to be an adjustment period for his much-changed squad. He appears undeterred however, and with Sorensen set to join the ranks imminently, there will be one more new face to integrate on Tyneside. He has since made five first team appearances for the Danish club and now looks set to join the Rafael Benitez revolution on Tyneside. Newcastle didn’t begin their Championship title tilt as planned, with a resolute Fulham proving impossible to break down at Craven Cottage on Friday night, and Benitez will be working overtime to ensure his new-look squad gel sooner rather than later. -

Soccer Sauce, supposedly reliable, saying we've bid £5m plus add ons for Celta Vigo full back Jonny Castro. -
According to SSN he's back at the top of Leicesters wants list.
-
Apparently Leicester want him.

Absolutely spot on, e veryone is going on about Berahino's attitude etc, he is still young and may learn, Remy has proven to everyone he doesn't give a s*** about anything except money. It shocks me that people think this way about someone who's not done a great deal wrong and could be the difference in staying up and being relegated. If he was driven by money then he'd have signed for QPR after their first offer and not spurned them on a couple of occasions before finally accepting one that he'd have been stupid to refuse. The he turned down the chance to join us after his loan move to join the team that went on the become champions. And ? Most people would have had Cabaye back, myself included, but he done far worse to us than Remy did. Personally I would rather have someone proven, with a questionable attitude than a kid who's relatively unproven with one. I really don't think that makes sense like, the fact he had no interest in QPR until they threw big money at him hardly shows that he isn't driven by money. I know what you are saying but I still think that if he was driven by money he'd have gone to QPR for an extra 5k a week. If the reports were true he knocked them back 3 times before accepting double the amount we were offering as well as being told he could leave if they went down. At the end of the day he wanted to come to England, had no affinity to either club, both clubs are struggling and a place apart at the bottom end of the league, one's offering him the chance to play in front of 50 thousand every other week up North, the other is offering him double the wages, London and the chance to leave if it's relegated ? Being realistic would anyone not do what he did in that situation ?

Not seen a lot of Berahino to really pass comment but if Remy is supposed to be available for around £7m I'd rather we signed him. Both tempremental fookers with questionable attitudes but at least with him he's been here before, can play anywhere across the front 3 and would be far more suited to what we're currently trying to do.
-
I know. They've got a bargain getting him at that price that's for sure.
-
Charlie Austin to Southampton for £4m
-
If only we'd signed Payet for less money instead
-
Looks like Matip is singing a pre contract agreement to join Liverpool on a free in the summer.
-
But is he out of the starting 11 for form reasons or attitude? Berahino is, supposedly, worth around £20m and is starting for another relegation rival about as much as Shelvey is for Swansea.
-
After watching a 5 minute video on YouTube of him from Swansea first few games this season I have to say he will certainly offer us far more than any of the current 3 we have playing centrally even if he is a lazy fooker. His passing range, short, long, through balls, balls over the top, etc in that video alone is something that no one else who plays for us is capable of. Personally hope we sign him.
-
4-4-2 with 2 central midfielders out wide and 2 usless ones in the middle is a massive part of the problem. Would like to see us revert back to 4-3-3 with Anita sitting behind Sissoko and Wijnaldum, Thuavin on the right and Ayoze on the left. Couldn't be any worse than the last few performances.
-
Really couldn't see us signing another under 6ft centre half anyway.
-
Gomis goal celebration. So infuriating ?
-
Very little chance of it being Rudiger unless he flops at Roma.
-
€4m loan fee & €9m more if they make it permanent at the end of it.

I was just about to post that. What an unbelievable season that was until the wheels came off when Bellamy got injured. A few years of shite under Dalglish and Gullit and then a rebuilding process for a couple under SBR. I don't think anyone expected the transformation in the 01-02 season. I had to leave a boozer in Coventry when the 3rd went in at Highbury, thought I was having a heart attack.
